In daylight dawn when rising sun rose high,
beauty stretched out both arms and breathed out sigh,
she closed her eyes but smelled tulips bloomed sweet,
as though tulips scent spread over whole street.
In sea of scent where tulips impressed eye,
beauty unfurled fingers touched butterfly,
she stood like chestnut tree with rooted feet,
as though tulips sprang up ground underfeet.
Wondered if there's tulips blossomed for bee,
if there's tulips faded in fragrant sea,
wondered if there's transmigration in town,
if there's dead flowers sprang up tulips lawn.
As spring monsoon shaked off tulips around,
beauty buried petals beneath the ground.
