Stray dog, like eastern wind drifted through lawn,
like wanderer wandered from town to town,
drifted five hundred miles away from home,
drifting with eastern wind like fall blossom.
Stray dog, wandered in the strange town alone,
watching the east, when sun rose up in dawn,
whose eyes beheld sun rose in daylight dome,
whose hair with hues of daylight was winsome.
In silent night, stray dog barked toward moon,
whose bark broke hush, when guitarist made croon,
whose bark came with guitarist's melody,
when player strucked a chord on string gently.
In white moonlight, stray dog found his master,
and guitarist found him as her partner.
