A ghost slipped through window like white moonbeam,
floating like cloud, like fairy from sweet dream,
her gaze melted like snow condensed water,
her beauty's form bloomed nicer than flower.
A ghost danced through street toward rippling stream,
dancing in moonbeam shone on stream with gleam,
her dance fluttered like swan impressed scholar,
her eyes contained fondness flowed like river.
A ghost came like light breeze on amber lawn,
and went like forest mist vanished in dawn,
perhaps she was sweet dream in scholar's mind,
perhaps she was gauze fog faded with wind.
A ghost danced in moonbeam like butterfly,
rippling scholar's heart, haunting scholar's eye.
