I encountered a band in hot summer,
cricket, bug, frog, and lark sang together,
whose siren's song echoed over canyon,
when rising sun raised from distant mountain.
I encountered a lake filled with flower,
where leaf and lily leaned on each other,
where fog veiled in amber lake like curtain,
where fish sailed like bird sailed in cloud ocean.
I sipped hot tea with a book in arbor,
and beheld porches wrapped with petunia,
whose petal blossomed like horn in the dawn,
and faded like spray in orange sundown.
I wondered if the horn chanted like frog,
with siren's song echoed over gauze fog.
