Pearl moon beheld pearl moon floated on lake,
when nightingale sang siren's song with drake,
and sprinkled moonlight made tree branches shadow,
when bugs chanted with blade frog on meadow.
Full moon emerged as snowball fell snowflake,
when siren's song haunted lilies to wake,
and emerged as wheel rolled over willow,
when moonlight paved courtyard and condensed snow.
The brighter pearl moon shined over heaven,
the darker shadow danced around garden,
the rounder full moon emerged as snowball,
the longer lovesickness condensed streamfall.
The lower pale moon set atop night wind,
the clearer your pearl face emerged in mind.
