As lovesickness condensed sand butterfly,
as sand yellowed topaz desert and sky,
as empty as desert rolled thought of you,
as if you were green land with amber view.
As lovesickness condensed fog dragonfly,
as fog grew sapphire sea rippled with sigh,
as azure as ocean contained sweet dew,
as if you were white whale sipped honeydew.
As lovesickness condensed lilac fragrance,
as scent dispersed canyon in the distance,
as fragrant as lilac lured honeybee,
as if you were petal in shade of tree.
As lovesickness condensed into moonlight,
as if you were dream faded in daylight.
