You gently came like breeze carried fragrance,
came like light yellow butterfly danced dance,
came like scarlet rose bloomed fairest blossom,
with chirps of birds of eternal freedom.
You smiled like pale rainbow aloft hung sky,
smiled like pearl moon lit street filled with firefly,
smiled like lily bathed in lake-liked moonlight,
with a dimple, warmer than spring sunlight.
You waited for dead branch to stretch out bud,
waited for pale lily to bloom from mud,
waited for scarlet rose to spread fragrance,
till twilight clouds gathered to spread joyance.
Before sunset you encountered someone,
who's been waiting for you, longer than stone.
