Nightingale sang in woods pervaded fog,
with chanting blade frog echoed over bog,
then flew toward pearl moon poured down moonlight,
as chanting blade frog soothed lonely long night.
Nightingale's song reminded me of voice,
that voice rippled heart's lake away from noise,
then flew through grove toward fragrant ocean,
as peach petals fluttered down peach garden.
Peach petals fluttered like pink butterfly,
that butterfly swirled in blue side of sky,
where nightingale breathed out lost song in air,
where peach blossoms fluttered through willow hair.
Peach petals reminded me whose pearl face,
that pearl face smiled in amber lake's surface.
