Night breeze chilled like thick ice on icy stone,
and with night chillness slipped into my bone,
when I walked through arbor in drifting snow,
when drifting snowflake fluttered down willow.
Night breeze chilled like frozen silent river,
and freezed my face to paler and paler,
when I watched moon poured down water moonlight,
when water moonlight poured like rain in night.
Night breeze chilled like iceberg in tarctic sea,
and with chillness chilled my hot jasmine tea,
when I hid myself in warm quilt of bed,
when outside snowflake fluttered overhead.
When I felt wings of death passed through my side,
when waving sea chanted with crooning tide.
