I was not liked, just like caterpillars,
like cloudy night hid summer sea of stars,
like petal swirled with wind from plum blossom,
and like snowflake fluttered down snow from dome.
I was terrified of losing your like,
like bikerider feared of losing old bike,
like sunflower feared of losing sunshine,
like amber lake feared of losing wave line.
I was liked, like butterflies broke cocoon,
like cloudy night showed no stars but full moon,
like petal danced through street lined silver tree,
like snowflake turned blossom at chestnut tree.
I was liked, like pink clouds in rising sun,
like orange flame in sky in setting sun.
