I felt the chill as wind freezed frozen lake,
as light gauze cloud fluttered down pale snowflake,
as dead branches bloomed in full pear blossom dew,
as grass knelt like believers at statue.
I felt the chill as wind hit your pearl face,
as cloud curtain hid sun in pale embrace,
as ice stretched like grassy road underfeet,
as snow blanket on ground paved grassy street.
I felt the warmth as bonfire burned in night,
as lighthouse guided lost boat with green light,
as rising sun poured down orange sunshine,
as setting sun red-stained scarlet skyline.
I felt the warmth as stranger dressed me coat,
as melting snow showed hidden grass for goat.
