People said nothing would last forever,
like drifting snow melted into water,
like greenish blade yellowed in chestnut tree,
like blooming bloom faded in fragrant sea.
People said seasons were cycle of life,
like dying branch stretched out new born fresh leaf,
like folding blade opened like umbrella,
like purple lavender spread aroma.
But I said something would last forever,
like white hair couple walked with each other,
from church to the final station of life,
in decades later, love's still green as leaf.
And I said seasons were cycle of sight,
like fading bloom bloomed as fireworks in night.
