Your laugh was gone like white light in sunbeam,
your voice was gone like dew in rippling stream,
like pale snowflake from dome fluttered down snow,
when setting sun painted bench long shadow.
Just gone like an angel came back heaven,
just gone like spray blossom returned ocean,
like leaf fluttered down root of chestnut tree,
when wintry night wind chilled hot cup of tea.
Felt like each night got harder than bitter,
felt like each night got longer than a year,
felt like three centuries passed overnight,
when I passed through coffee shop at midnight.
Yet found figure of yours in neon light,
when I glanced at shop through curtain of night.
