I gently raised hot cup of jasmine tea,
toward cloud that like spray bloomed in pale sea,
that like gauze covered sunshine beneath sun,
that like prophet who foreknew snow and rain.
I devoutly inquired misty cloud sky,
why north chilled breeze got used to sigh long sigh,
why pale snowflake danced through blanket of snow,
and why stray bird traveled south from willow.
I watched cloud wrote me back S shaped letter,
it's south where chilled breeze like firefly died for,
it's spring when snowflake melted to water,
it's sound that hummingbird echoed singer.
I gently sipped warm jasmine tea with steam,
when cloud curtain showed me orange sunbeam.
