I was peach blossom never saw summer,
I was fallen leaf never saw winter,
yet knew I how the stars filled summer sky,
and how snowflake danced like pale butterfly.
I was plum blossom heard no bird's humming,
I was pale lily heard no leaf's sighing,
yet knew I how bird hummed with bugs echo,
and how fall leaf sighed in chestnut shadow.
I was sunflower blossomed in sunlight,
I was night flower blossomed at midnight,
yet knew I how night curtain covered sky,
and how dawn mist like gauze hid butterfly.
Yet knew I how moonlight poured like water,
through night curtain toward fragrant flower.
