Alex blinked. "You're kidding."
Jenkin chuckled a dry sound that echoed like hollow wind through its ribcage.
"Do I look like I'm kiddin', partner?"
Still clutching his sword, Alex allowed his eyes to wander around the store.
It wasn't exactly what he'd imagined for a mystical shop.
The place was shabby, dimly lit, and cluttered with... organs.
A quick scan revealed bones, a jaw with a tooth hanging loose, a suspiciously human-looking kidney in a jar, a brain floating in green liquid, an eyeball staring back at him, and two round balls...he decided he didn't want to think too much about.
He looked back at Jenkin, unsure whether to feel disgusted or impressed.
"So...what do you sell?"
The skeleton's sockets seemed to brighten as if it had been waiting for that question.
Jenkin leaned on the counter, spreading its bony arms theatrically.
