Chapter 6 - Journey Into Destiny

"Where are you coming from?" Fiona's voice cut through the silence like a knife, her eyes narrowing as she sat rigidly in her chair. "I don't know, and frankly, it's none of your business," Roxanne shot back, her defiance crackling in the air. "Did you enjoy the party?" Fiona pressed, her tone laced with forced civility. "Oh, I loved it—especially your brother-in-law. He's a breath of fresh air compared to Vangelis," Roxanne replied, flinging a chaotic pile of clothes onto the bed as if they were mere afterthoughts.

"You noticed that? We clearly have similar tastes in men," Fiona retorted, sarcasm dripping from her words. "Not like your caged sister," Roxanne shot back, her laughter echoing as she turned to leave the room. A sharp pain sliced through Fiona's head, memories flooding her mind like a raging storm, threatening to drown her in the past.

"Stelharm, please! I can't stay here! I refuse to marry! I want my life back—full of freedom and laughter, not shackled by the chains of matrimony!" Fiona's voice trembled with desperation as she clutched Stelharm's arm, her eyes pleading. "Can you stop being so self-absorbed for a second? I can't help you flee. If this goes south, do you grasp that Bloodmoon won't spare Silvermoon? We can't afford a war if you can just bring peace through marriage. I won't do that—not today," Stelharm declared, slamming the brakes with a fierce determination.

"Then just drop me here! I'll find my own way to the palace!" Fiona demanded, her voice a mix of fury and resolve, leaving no room for Stelharm to argue. The tension hung thick in the air.Fiona started walking in the woods, trying to get familiar with the place when suddenly, out of nowhere, something hurtled toward her, slamming her down onto the forest floor with a bone-rattling force. Gritting her teeth, she pushed herself up, her heart racing as she assumed her combat stance, eyes darting through the shadows for any sign of danger. A low, menacing growl reverberated through the trees, and in an instant, three massive wolves lunged toward her, their eyes gleaming with predatory hunger.

With fierce determination, she drew a protective circle in the dirt with her foot, standing defiantly within it. Closing her eyes, she inhaled the damp, earthy scent of the woods, and when she opened them, her breath caught in her throat—seven wolves now surrounded her, their powerful forms blocking any chance of escape. "I think this queen will serve as our meal. How can a damn vampire be our queen? Is Vangelis truly this weak?" one wolf sneered, the mockery slicing through the tension like a knife.

In a heartbeat, one wolf charged at her, fangs bared, but Fiona was ready. With a swift, precise kick, she sent the beast sprawling, her spirit igniting with defiance. "If you're real men, morph into your human form and let's have a head-on fight—like men to men!" she shouted, her voice ringing out with fierce conviction.

The wolves erupted into a cacophony of laughter, their cruel amusement echoing through the trees. "We are cowards, so we won't transform to our human form!" they jeered, their eyes alight with malice. The air crackled with electric tension as Fiona braced herself for the impending onslaught, knowing that this battle would push her to her limits. With every growl and snarl, the forest seemed to hold its breath, a silent witness to the brutal clash that was about to unfold. She stood tall, ready to face the storm, unyielding and fierce, as the wolves closed in for the kill.Phoenix's electric blue eyes flickered with intensity as she faced the chaos. "Your wife is a mad ass; she's taking on seven wolves!" Just then, a vicious claw sliced through her cheek, forcing her to cover the wound. But even as the pain surged, she felt a powerful healing energy envelop her. The wolves lunged forward, poised to strike, when a commanding voice resonated from behind, halting them in their tracks.

"Bow to your King now," Vangelis proclaimed, striding forward with an undeniable presence, his hands clasped behind his back and his red eyes glowing like molten lava. The wolves fell flat, their bravado shattered. Vangelis turned to Fiona, taking her hands gently in his, his voice smooth and tantalizing. "What do you think I should do with these unruly pigs?"

"My Lord, turn them into pigs!" Fiona chimed in, her tone playful yet persuasive. In an instant, the air shimmered with magic, transforming the fierce wolves into bewildered pigs, their snarls replaced by confused oinks. In the blink of an eye, they found themselves at the grand palace, a surreal twist of fate that left everyone breathless.

"Mummy! Sister-in-law is here!" Eira exclaimed, floating gracefully with excitement. Mrs. Vivian dropped her bouquet of flowers, rushing to the door with open arms. "Come inside already, my dear!" she urged, caressing Fiona's face with a motherly warmth.

But Vangelis wasn't ready to retreat just yet. "Mummy, I want to show her around before we come inside," he insisted, pulling Fiona closer, his eyes sparkling with mischief and adventure. The palace loomed ahead, a realm of enchantment waiting to be explored, and Fiona felt the thrilling pull of destiny, ready to embrace whatever extraordinary journey lay before her.
