After a few days, Akira's father finally woke up from it's coma, although his concussions weren't that serious, but brain injuries are naturally heavier than on other body parts.
"Cough, Cough", Kirugi tried saying something but only coughs left his mouth
Akira held his father's back and helped him sit down.
They started discussing the aftermath of the unfortunate ambush that happened a few days ago.
"So I won't be able to participate in the war anymore huh", Kirugi said absentmindedly
"But then what about you?", he continued, while looking seriously at Akira
"I should be able to take care of myself, by the rhythm in which things are going right now, i can tell that the war should end by June, so i just need to endure until then", Akira affirmed
Naturally, Akira knew that the war would end by September, he's just saying that to reassure his father a bit.
"Haiss, what a drag", his father closed his eyes and pondered about the issue at hand.
'He sometimes looks like Shikamaru', Akira mused
"Fine, since i can't do anything about it, I can't possibly cause more trouble to you, I'll go back home and comfort your mother, she must more stressed than us at the battlefield", Kirugi joked
"Certainly, by the way, they will evacuate the injured by tomorrow at noon, i gotta go jow, the new Captain summoned us to another mission today", said Akira
"Go, take care son"
After returning home, Kirugi received a good beating from Asuna for lefting his son alone, but she was naturally glad that he returned unscathed.
Akira's hellish routine continued though, after learning his lesson last time, he started refusing to sleep unless their Captain was at night watch, this made him more tired, especially considering his need for sleep due to his young age, but at least he wouldn't be caught off guard like last time anymore.
Things became more and more worse, his teammates weren't lasting enough for their teamwork to develop, this led to higher mortality rates, the reason why he was able to survive that long was due to his Sharingan, of course that meant that the news have been spread, but the war as at its climax and nobody had the energy to plot against him.
When Akira stopped and looked at the moon, he realized that it was alredy September, since the war ended at the 14th day of the month in his last simulation, that meant that there's only two weeks until the war ended officially and he could return to the village, the activity of Kumogakure reduced drastically now so he could rest quite a bit until the next mission.
Two weeks after, Kumogakure and Konohagakure signed a peace treaty and the war on his side officially ended.
Akira and the others started returning to the village, dark circles under his eyes, if Gaara saw him right now they would probably sympathize with each other without a doubt, his clothes seemed messy and his hair disheveled beyond recognition.

'At least, this tells me that i didn't suffer in vain'
His Dexterity reached Jonin level, which meant that he had a reaction speed, chakra control and detection range way higher than before.
By the way, speaking of detection range, Akira could now detect up to one kilometer around him, sure enough war was the best environment for quick improvement.
His constitution also skyrocketed, a proof of the amount of near death situations that he encountered, the potential of his body was drained in a fast pace.
The new jutsu was one of the main points of his survivability skill in the later end of the war, being able to hide within plain sight made him a formidable foe.
It's a shame that his Sharingan didn't evolve, many of his companions died but he didn't care for them as much as he should've, maybe it was because of the subconscious knowledge of the simulation? who knows.
While walking, he noticed a stare at his neck, while searching for it he found out that Orochimaru was looking at him with a menacing expression.
'Is that pervert coveting my body?, it did take him long to start bothering me, i guess that since the war ended, he relaxed enough for me to take priority now'
'I don't care, this is a simulation, i don't fear your perverted ass'
Akira returned a smirk to Orochimaru, who became surprised by his courage, Orochimaru started to laugh to the air after that, winning the confused stare of the surrounding ninjas.
After that episode, they returned to Konoha without accidents, being received by a glorious ceremony made by the villagers to the heroes of Konoha.
He noticed his parents in the middle of the crowd and started to walk towards them, his mother had watered eyes like the ones of a cute cat imploring for food and his father made a relieved expression while relaxing his tensed shoulders.
He didn't run towards then since he was exhausted beyond recognition, but sure enough his mother ran towards him and hugged him tightly bringing him to the air.
"Look at you... i shouldn't have let you join that Ninja Academy, had i known you would have to suffer so much, it's all my fault!!"
His mother placed a hand in his head and put the other hand on his butt, holding him like the times that he were a baby.
Akira blushed of shame but didn't resist, his mother deserved this much after all.
Everyone that saw this focused on them with a smile, either holding their laughs out of respect or turning around, he was a proud war hero after all.
Akira wanted to cry, but had no tears in the moment.
'Damn it all'
