Chapter 279 - Zeus Who Was Completely Reduced To A Clown

With the arrival of Zeus, all seven god kings were finally present. Zeus, with a proud smile, took his seat and declared, "God King Banquet! I'm pleased to see everyone here!"

"Hehehe" Cronus chuckled, a hint of mockery in his tone. "Zeus, I find this rather dull. My three heirs, compared to Hades and Poseidon, you come off as a boring clown. This banquet is losing its appeal! Now that all eight god kings have gathered, I think it's time for me to leave."

Cronus stood, shaking his head in a condescending manner before departing, completely disregarding Zeus.

An oppressive silence fell over the room. Zeus's eyes blazed with fury, an almost palpable killing intent simmering beneath the surface. But no matter how furious he felt, he knew it would lead to nothing.

To Cronus, the Titan King, Zeus was no threat at all. If Zeus dared to provoke him, it would only lead to his own destruction. This truth weighed heavily on Zeus, forcing him to remain silent despite the anger that churned within him.

"Hahaha" Typhon grinned, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "Zeus! You're truly entertaining! You try so hard to win everyone's favor, yet end up looking like a pathetic clown. I'm feeling generous by even attending this farce. Farewell!"

With that, Typhon turned and left, leaving Zeus seething with rage.

Bell then stood up, his voice calm but resolute. "Father, I must take my leave as well. I have more important matters to attend to." With that, he walked away, further stoking Zeus's fury. The humiliation of being dismissed so easily gnawed at him, and he felt an intense desire to retaliate against Bell, but he knew he couldn't afford to lose any more face.

Uranus observed the unfolding scene with a smirk. "Zeus, I never imagined that as a god king, you would resemble such a clown. It's truly disappointing. This matter has nothing to do with me anymore, so I'll be taking my leave."

His disappointment was evident. To Uranus, every god king present, except for Typhon, was family. Despite the formidable power of Cronus, Hades had bested him, and Poseidon was forging his own path as an Evil God. In contrast, Zeus seemed weak and unremarkable, nothing more than a source of embarrassment.

Uranus shook his head, unable to comprehend how low Zeus had sunk. He too departed, leaving Zeus to grapple with his burning rage.

With four god kings gone, only Hades, Poseidon, and Athena remained. Zeus could feel their disdain; they viewed him as little more than a joke. This realization stung, and he could feel the weight of their ridicule.

"Hehehe" Poseidon broke the silence, his tone composed. "I should also be on my way. There are matters in the ocean realm that require my attention, and the battle among the god kings is imminent. I can't afford to waste more time here."

With Poseidon's departure, it became clear that the banquet had devolved into a farce. Each god king had come not out of respect for Zeus but simply because it was a gathering of their kind. None believed Zeus was worthy of their time or presence.

As Poseidon left, Zeus's anger boiled over. Now, only Hades and Athena remained, seemingly content to wait for something—perhaps the final straw that would lead to his inevitable outburst.
