Hypnos, Thanatos, and the twin gods slowly opened their eyes, feeling the surge of the laws. They had fully grasped the benefits and truly understood His Majesty's good intentions.
Thanatos spoke respectfully, "If His Majesty hadn't identified the issue, we might have found ourselves controlled by everything brought forth by Guishu. That would have been troublesome."
The reason was straightforward. Thanatos of World A was entangled with Hades, a natural consequence of their inherent powers. While he might have absorbed some strength from this connection, the Thanatos of Worlds B and C, despite lacking overwhelming power, could still pose a threat.
In essence, it became clear that Thanatos couldn't completely suppress these forces that originated from himself. Within the underworld, this wasn't an issue, but outside, particularly during critical moments, the risk of being overwhelmed by other Thanatos loomed large. This was fundamentally dangerous.
Hypnos nodded, "His Majesty's considerations are indeed deliberate. To him, our essence matters little; it is simply a gift he has granted us."
"Exactly!" Thanatos echoed. For Hades, the identity or nature of his subjects was inconsequential. What mattered was that their souls remained intact, entirely under his control. Hades' actions reflected his generosity; misunderstanding them would lead to significant problems.
"Let's go!"
"Agreed!"
Hypnos and Thanatos departed, but instead of heading to the Pure Land of Bliss, they made their way to the castle, where they respectfully kneeled before Persephone, the Empress of the Underworld.
"Welcome, Hypnos and Thanatos," Persephone said calmly. "Now that you have recovered, you need to address the affairs in the realm of Japanese mythology. The conflict between the gods is escalating."
"Yes!" the twin gods replied, bowing in acknowledgment. They understood the task ahead, as the divine battle required their intervention.
Once the twin gods left, Yan Mo stepped forward, exhaling a wisp of green smoke from his stick. "Considering the strengths of Hypnos and Thanatos, the three imperial gods won't act hastily. They know our situation; if they wait, the underworld will fully embrace the benefits brought by Guishu."
"Absolutely!" Persephone agreed. Hades' sealing of the binding itself had started to enhance the overall strength of the underworld. This improvement was rapid, leading to a significant eruption of power. However, maintaining stability was crucial; any lapse could lead to an identity crisis, fundamentally altering everything.
With the twin gods now in the fray, the three imperial gods would be less likely to act recklessly. Though they suspected the underworld was up to something, they lacked certainty, which had led to tentative actions. But with the underworld gods mobilizing, particularly the twin gods, everything shifted.
"Also," Yan Mo continued, maintaining his calm demeanor, "I can't quite grasp why my husband moved so swiftly, but based on his strength and the situation with Erebus and Nyx, as long as the Lord God of the Heavenly Cultivator remains inactive, he can easily overcome any challenges..."
Yan Mo exuded confidence. As long as the Heavenly Lord didn't intervene, there was little to fear from the others—aside from the Tianjin God and the Seven Generations of Gods, who posed no real threat.
The underworld's power had grown considerably, making any anticipated successes seem more achievable.
"Hmm"
Persephone contemplated for a moment before nodding. It was indeed manageable. Dealing with the unfolding events would be straightforward, especially given the advancements in power that had led to monumental changes. This transformation was the most profound aspect of the divine realm, whether acknowledged or not.
Once a deity reaches unparalleled strength, the very fabric of reality shifts. Hades, having ascended to the level of a Primordial God, was steadily reshaping everything. This fact was undeniable, and all that remained was for everyone to accept it.
Persephone and Yan Mo exchanged glances, smiling in unison. For the underworld, these developments were merely a matter of course. Managing them was as effortless as a breeze.
