"Huh"
In the stillness, a wisp of green smoke slowly emerged. Yan Mo smiled softly and spoke gently, "Amaterasu, Tsukiyomi, Susanoo, are you three looking for something from me? I'm quite busy with my work in Hell. If this is merely a waste of time, I won't continue to entertain you."
The expressions of the San Yushen were not favorable. The hot-headed Susanoo glared ferociously, "Yan Mo! Where have you taken Hell? Do you understand the consequences of its absence? If one of the Four Realms is missing, the entire world will collapse!"
"I naturally understand," Yan Mo replied, a hint of amusement in her tone. "But what does that have to do with me? The absence of the Four Realms doesn't affect me. I can leave at any time, and you should be begging me. As long as I exist, Hell will remain, ensuring the stability of the Great World. If I disappear, everything will vanish into nothingness."
"Hoo"
As she spoke, another wisp of green smoke escaped her lips. Yan Mo regarded the three gods with a sense of disdain. Why was Hades reluctant to reclaim Hell? While doing so could yield immense benefits, the cost would be monumental. Had Hades not advanced with the birth of the World Tree, it would have been unbearable.
With her plans set, Yan Mo remained unfazed, observing everyone around her with indifference. She was in complete control.
Heaven! Earth! Sea! Hell!
These four realms formed the cornerstones of any Great World. Their disappearance would inevitably lead to catastrophe, resulting in the complete collapse of the entire world. Thus, the San Yushen looked at Yan Mo with growing annoyance but felt powerless to act. They understood that angering her would lead to their own ruin.
"Correct!"
Yan Mo continued, "Four gods, no need to lurk in the shadows. If you wish to see me, step forward. I'm not so shameless as to hide from you. It's better for you to face me directly than to appear foolish."
At her invitation, four figures emerged from the shadows, obedient to the commands of the main god in the Heavenly Palace. Their expressions were grim.
The three Imperial Gods greeted them with respectful bows. Despite their ambitions, they maintained an air of decorum, especially given the current predicament.
Ebisu's expression remained impassive as he addressed Yan Mo, "You know very well that as the Lord of Hell born in this Great World, you must pay a hefty price for your actions."
Yan Mo smiled sweetly. "Ebisu, please don't say that. I've entrusted everything to my husband. Do you think I still care?"
"Then…."
"Let's skip the small talk and discuss something more satisfying for me. Your goal is to reclaim Hell, but remember, I maintain its existence. If I perish, Hell will cease to exist, and what will happen to the Great World without it?"
"Hoo"
With another plume of green smoke, she illuminated her point. A world without Hell would gradually collapse, a scenario that would deeply concern the Lord God of Heaven.
Perhaps he could survive, but if everything else was lost, what would be the point? All his preparations and plans would vanish.
Thus, the Lord God of Heaven observed in silence, understanding that killing Yan Mo would not resolve the issue. In fact, it would likely exacerbate it. Yan Mo was not the root of the problem. While she represented Hell, the true essence of Hell was now intertwined with her being. If she died, Hell would disappear entirely—a notion that the Lord God could not accept.
The God of Heaven's Yuzhong was immensely powerful and had been meticulously planning for ages. He could not allow any complications to arise now.
"Good!" Ebisu said with an air of resignation. "Yan Mo! What do you want? Just state your demands. Whatever it is, if it means returning Hell, we can negotiate."
For the Lord God of Heaven, retrieving Hell was paramount to maintaining stability. The forthcoming era of Hundred Ghosts Walking at Night was crucial for him, and he was prepared to pay any price for its return.
Yan Mo smiled at Ebisu's words, a sense of calm washing over her. "Huh"
With a wisp of green smoke, she exuded indifference. Since the advantage lay with her, there was no need for eagerness. She remained unfazed, while her demeanor infuriated those around her. Every action she took only served to stoke their anger.
Yet, beyond their frustration, they were powerless to act. Yan Mo controlled Hell and felt no fear, leaving them trapped in a state of helplessness. Unless they were willing to engage her in a direct confrontation—which was simply impossible—the gods of the Japanese mythology world found themselves at her mercy.
