Chapter 207 - What Is The Role Of The God King? Zeus Is The Most Unqualified!

As for the matter of the Hall of Valor, Hades is simply arranging it a little. This is not an important issue; a bit of organization and planting some seeds is sufficient. Whether it can take root in the future? That's a matter of time! There is no need for urgency.

However, while Hades or rather the entire Underworld, is in a phase of steady and gradual development, many changes are taking place on Earth at this moment. Beyond the conquests and wars between the human kingdoms, significant transformations and distinctions are emerging.

"Ah!"

Prometheus wailed in pain, his heart and liver once again pecked by eagles. Such pain should have been insignificant to him, but Zeus wanted Prometheus to endure endless torment, magnifying his suffering countless times.

Despite enduring this relentless pain, Prometheus maintained a calm demeanor, as if he dismissed the agony entirely. He possessed an indifferent heart and a firm spirit; while his heart might cry out from pain, it would never yield to fear or surrender.

At that moment, a figure climbed step by step.

He had no divine power, or rather, this sacred mountain was bound by the laws left by Zeus, preventing him from exerting any divine abilities. Otherwise, the god-slaying thunder left by Zeus would crush any deities daring enough to ascend the mountain.

"Prometheus!"

With a serious expression, Bell addressed Prometheus. "We finally meet."

"Hahaha"

For the first time, this wise man, known as a prophet, let out such a heroic laugh. Prometheus proudly declared, "Indeed! Indeed! Everything is absolutely unbelievable. Disappointed! It was amazing!"

However, Prometheus shook his head and said, "Master Bell, I cannot leave with you. I know your kindness, but as long as I remain, Zeus will wield immense power. You need to continue accumulating your strength; only then can you overthrow Zeus and become the true fourth-generation God King!"

Bell remained silent, lost in thought. After a while, he responded, "Prometheus, if you choose not to leave, you will continue to endure this endless pain."

Prometheus smiled and said, "I care not for such pain at all. Master Bell, I have prepared everything for you. Go to the tribe where I once lived. The owner is preparing for you there."

"Everything will be well. I believe it. But I must warn you, Master Bell: do not follow Zeus's old path!"

"I understand!"

Bell looked deeply at Prometheus, whose calm smile contrasted sharply with his enduring agony. He realized how vast the gap was between them. Despite it being their first meeting, Bell felt he had learned much from Prometheus. He turned and left without hesitation.

As he looked back at Bell's departing figure, Prometheus murmured, "Master Bell, you are the last hope! I hope you don't follow Zeus's old path; it leads to despair. You have the chance to change everything, and I hope you are ready for it."

Prometheus watched Bell leave, feeling a profound peace. He had prepared everything sufficiently. Bell was growing rapidly, and most importantly, Prometheus sensed that Bell's heart was equally ambitious, yet he would never become like Zeus. That was a confidence and sincerity Bell possessed, fundamentally different from Zeus's essence.

"Zeus!"

"Just wait quietly!"

"Everything..."

"It's all ready!"

Prometheus slowly raised his head, a mocking smile curling at the corner of his mouth. Since you acted upon that illusory prophecy, I don't mind making it a reality.

As the most formidable sage in the world, even the prophet who made the former Titan King Cronus wary of his wisdom, Prometheus possessed unparalleled potential. No one else could match it.

"Ah!"

But as the day passed, the eagle returned once more, pecking at Prometheus' heart and liver, causing him to wail in agony again. Yet this time, amid the cries, "The ten smiles seem unable to hide."

Step by step, Bell moved forward with utmost seriousness. He did not wield divine power; instead, he used his own resolve to experience the torment Prometheus had endured. He was not an ascetic, but Bell sought to understand the weight of suffering.

Since Prometheus could withstand such pain, so too could he. Bell had never been a qualified god king, nor had anyone else.

Uranus? Cronus? Or rather! Hades, Poseidon, Zeus?

No! No! No one was a qualified god king. Even they could be considered the most unqualified god kings. What should a god king do? Control the grand scheme? Strategize? Command troops in battle?

No!

A god king need do nothing; what is required is simple: to enjoy the power they wield and grow stronger with time. This is the essence of godhood. If a god king manages everything personally, then what is the purpose of other divine beings?

This is the fundamental core of a god king's existence, applicable to all. However! The god king who has truly achieved this—no! Every god king has indeed achieved this, except for Zeus!

Zeus wanted to control everything. Ironically, this made him the only unqualified god king.

This is the root of it all: Zeus is not a qualified god king. He can indulge and revel in pleasure, yet he forgets to grow stronger gradually.

Therefore, Prometheus didn't require Bell to make any other choices in his cultivation. He simply hoped Bell could understand what a god king ought to be. This isn't a difficult task.

Can Bell truly comprehend this?
