"The Power of Faith!"
"That's right!"
"This is the power of pure faith!"
Countless gods prostrated themselves on the ground, feeling the overwhelming force of pure faith. In this moment, they surrendered their souls, willingly kneeling at the feet of this noble god. Kushi Inada observed the prostrate figures, while a smile played on Yan Mo's lips.
As long as the power of faith was mastered, controlling these gods became as easy as commanding a dog. Yan Mo didn't see this as a waste of the power of faith. After all, whether it was Hades or Yan Mo, both shared the same conviction: wasting resources was pure folly.
Incorporating such resources into their ranks had little effect other than consuming vast amounts of faith. However, with the divine war now underway, these beings could serve as cannon fodder.
Red Spider Lily, the Ferryman, Bull Head and Horse Face, the Ghost Messengers—Black and White, the Judges, the Ten Kings...
These gods of hell were not to be underestimated.
Despite their relatively weak individual strength, their importance to the underworld was undeniable. In hell, they served a vital supporting role, and once they entered the underworld, their strength would grow rapidly.
Moreover, what improvements would they bring to the underworld? Yan Mo understood that he could not afford to let them squander their potential. The best course was to recruit these gods, driven almost mad by the power of faith, and use them as cannon fodder in the war.
The war between heaven and earth had already begun! Endless divine power churned, transforming the entire human world into a battlefield.
Gao Tianyuan.
Hell.
The two factions engaged in warfare within the human realm.
It was undeniable that these gods had originally belonged to Gao Tianyuan, but as the belief in the human world waned, they neared collapse. Now, with hell's recruitment, they willingly joined its ranks.
Importantly, remember: traitors are the ones most despised! Those who were once the most ruthless would show no mercy.
These cannon fodder gods, subdued by Yan Mo, seemed to be consumed by madness. They were determined to defeat Gao Tianyuan. If they succeeded, they would gain everything and might even become the new masters of Gao Tianyuan. This was their madness.
This was also why Yan Mo preferred to use these "rubbish" gods; they were exceedingly obedient. Only those who had betrayed would attack with greater fervor. This principle applied even to gods; betrayal offered no path back.
"Hoo"
A wisp of green smoke escaped Yan Mo's lips as he lounged on a cloud bed, observing the war in the human realm. He murmured softly, "Amaterasu, I truly can't help it! It seems this concubine will soon initiate the battle of gods against you and Gao Tianyuan. Let me see what preparations you will make."
A smile spread across her face as she awaited the unfolding events. The battle of the gods had only just begun; there was no need to rush. Both Yan Mo and the San Yushen shared a common goal: to consume and dispose of the eight million gods in the world.
After all!
Resources in a world are finite. As the number of gods increases, so too does the consumption of those resources. Even with the artifact of faith, the power of faith becomes an issue when concentrated on a single individual. Some matters, after careful consideration, become clearer in terms of suitability.
Yan Mo and the San Yushen had the same basic idea, but their ultimate objectives differed.
The three imperial gods sought to rule this world—to dominate the entire sea realm, Gao Tianyuan, the human world, hell, and the Dragon Palace.
By ruling all these realms, they could potentially break through to the Primordial God level, possibly resulting in only one surviving among the three, who might ascend to become the supreme absolute god.
Of course, this was merely a possibility. The likelihood of such an outcome was beyond words.
For Yan Mo, however, the path seemed simpler. She didn't have any convoluted ambitions. Now that he was married to Hades, her focus was on plundering and expanding the underworld. That was paramount! Anything else? It was irrelevant. Could she not defeat them?
If necessary, she would withdraw to the underworld, taking all of hell with her. In that case, the disruption of hell and issues with the world's operation would make things far more uncomfortable for them. They might find the problem originating from hell.
But there would be no way to stop it. If hell ceased to function, they would simply retreat, unwilling to engage with their adversaries. This indifference was their privilege, unlike the gods who required hell to operate smoothly. Losing hell would present an entirely different issue.
The distinction between being useless and having nothing at all was profound. At that moment, the entire world could face significant problems.
Because of this, the powerful gods sensed the impending issues yet found themselves powerless to intervene, merely passively witnessing the divine battle unfolding between heaven and earth.
Two gods descended into the human world, their pace deliberate but accompanied by a terrifying aura of law that made all gods daring enough to confront them lose their breath, their lives extinguished in an instant.
Sleeping God Hypnos!
Reaper Thanatos!
Hypnos halted, standing atop a towering peak, surveying the landscape with indifferent eyes. "This is a brand new world of mythology. Cultivating the power of faith to its zenith can bring this world under control. Master Hades will be the most fitting ruler!"
"There is no absolute god's protection!"
"There are only five Primordial gods."
Thanatos smiled smugly, stating, "It doesn't seem too difficult to dominate such a world. After all, Lord Hades is on the verge of breaking through to the Primordial God level. It's merely a matter of time."
"Report!"
"Thanatos, the priority is to gather more intelligence and assist the princess in winning this divine battle."
The twin gods vanished in an instant, their focus turned to more pressing matters.
