Chapter 182 - Pandora's Destruction, Prometheus' Punishment

"What a beauty!"

"Is this really human?"

"Goddess?"

In the small town where Prometheus lived, all the people marveled at the woman brought by Hermes. At this moment, each of them was filled with greed and excitement. Could such a beautiful woman really exist among humans? It was almost unimaginable!

Prometheus had already sensed this commotion, and he fell silent. Watching the scene unfold, he thought, "Sure enough! Zeus, you truly disappoint me by not allowing this to end here! You are weak."

He let out a mournful sigh, feeling helpless. At this time, Hermes approached and said, "Prometheus, it's our first meeting! However, this is a gift from His Majesty—Pandora, the most beautiful woman in the world!"

Although Pandora was not a goddess, her beauty rivaled that of any divine being, making it natural for her to be called the most beautiful woman in the world.

"Hermes!"

Prometheus regarded Hermes and, after a brief pause, said, "Tell Lord Zeus that all his expectations are merely a joke. You may share this if you wish, or keep it to yourself."

"Thank you!"

Hermes withdrew, turning away quietly. Prometheus understood it was unrealistic to expect Hermes to convey his message.

"What a pity!"

Prometheus shook his head, realizing it was unfortunate that Zeus couldn't see the wisdom in his words. If only he had a little more vigilance, he could have been a better puppet—or a proper shield. But as it stood, Zeus was wholly inadequate.

In the end, Prometheus chose not to dwell on it. He was wise, yet he recognized he couldn't control everything. Despite his preparations, the final outcome remained uncertain.

With another sigh, Prometheus shifted his gaze to Pandora. However, the moment his eyes landed on her, his expression turned livid, and he muttered, "Damn Zeus! Have you lost your mind? You actually created such a perfect woman. This woman..."

"Hehehe"

Pandora smiled gently and replied, "Master Prometheus, don't you like me?"

Yet, despite her seemingly innocent words, Prometheus felt a wave of danger wash over him, and everything suddenly felt different.

"Hahaha"

"Kill!"

"She's mine!"

"Mine!"

"Get away!"

Amidst the frenzied shouts, chaos erupted. Within moments, the entire village descended into violence, with humans fighting to the death—brought on solely by Pandora's smile.

"Well!"

Prometheus silently shook his head and said, "Pandora, fulfill your duty! From the moment you were born, doesn't that mean you already understand your role?"

"Oh!"

Pandora, exuding an enchanting charm, lightly tapped her lips and teased, "Master Prometheus! Are you truly going to test me?"

"Hehehe"

Prometheus replied, "You are fully aware of why you were created, and so am I. It's a pity that Zeus remains oblivious."

He found it ironic that Zeus had fashioned such a perfect being for his enemies.

"Well!"

With a sarcastic shake of his head, Prometheus felt the absurdity of the situation. He was commanded by the enemy, yet they had created something so flawless—it was indeed a bitter irony.

In that moment, Prometheus understood that Zeus had become ineffective. Everything was so obvious, yet Zeus failed to see it, and that ignorance was laughable.

"Let's begin!"

"In that case."

"It's about to start."

With a smile, Pandora slowly opened the magic box in her hands. As it opened, an overwhelming surge of power flooded out—destruction, madness, an insatiable force ready to consume everything. In an instant, it threatened to engulf all.

Pandora, at the forefront, was instantly enveloped by this boundless power, yet she welcomed it with open arms, a strong smile gracing her lips as she awaited her fate.

As Prometheus watched, the power spread rapidly. If nothing intervened, all life on earth would soon be eradicated. Everything appeared destined to be devoured, leading to an inevitable conclusion.

"Hehehe"

"It's truly ironic!"

Prometheus observed as the entirety of humanity was swallowed, marking the end of the golden age. At that moment, the sky resonated with thunder, and a figure began to emerge.

It was Zeus. He looked down at Prometheus and said coldly, "Prometheus, due to your error, humanity shall perish! You must bear the consequences of your actions!"

Prometheus remained silent, merely offering a mocking smile that only served to infuriate Zeus further. Enraged, Zeus raised his hand, summoning a storm of lightning to seal Prometheus away.

"Ha!"

A roar echoed as Prometheus was bound on the sacred mountain Caucasus, shackled by chains that could never be broken. He was fixed against a steep cliff, forever awake, with a diamond nail piercing his chest. A relentless vulture feasted on his liver every ten days.

This suffering would accompany Prometheus for eternity, yet he appeared unconcerned, still wearing a knowing smile.
