Chapter 129 - Poseidon Went Astray?

"Eternal sleep!"

"Endless death!"

"Black Thunder!"

"White Wind!"

The Twin Gods faced the two warriors of the Nine Soldiers, and the clash of divine powers erupted into a fierce battle. Radiant energies and fighting techniques intertwined, their brilliance threatening to consume everything in their path.

Hypnos and Thanatos observed the formidable Nine Soldiers before them.

Hypnos spoke softly, "Nine Armor Gods, I've heard of your lineage in ancient texts, but I never imagined you served under the Titan God King."

White Wind replied delicately, "Our Kiggs clan was chosen by His Majesty from the moment of our birth. Everything we have—our very existence—is a gift from him, and we are bound by loyalty."

Thanatos, however, was not one for idle chatter. His divine essence transformed into a colossal, roaring beast, which surged forward to engulf Black Thunder.

In response, Black Thunder unleashed a torrent of lightning, shattering the terrifying creature and re-emerging unscathed. Both combatants preferred to let their powers speak for them, eager to end the battle swiftly.

The conflict escalated; Thanatos engaged fiercely with Black Thunder while beneath them, legions of Underworld fighters emerged to face the Titan warriors. Outnumbered but undeterred, these fighters called upon their resilience.

If one could not defeat their foes individually, then they would fight as a collective.

"Come at me!" they shouted, their determination resonating through the battlefield.

Thanatos had summoned these Underworld fighters from the golden age of humanity—his ability as the God of the Underworld allowing him to bring forth souls to join the fray. Notably, figures like Charon and Quinn stood at the forefront, ready to battle.

Despite the Titans' might, the Underworld warriors were trained and formidable, each armed with the tenacity that defined their existence.

Meanwhile, the Beast of Amber assessed the chaos, addressing Hades. "Master Hades, it's hard for me to comprehend your excellence. Even Cronus, from his birth, could not match your level."

The Beast of Amber, the most astute of the three giant soldiers, remained calm in the tumult, contrasting the brute strength of the Emerald Armor and the alluring Pearl Dragon. He recognized the monumental divide between Hades and Cronus.

While Cronus may have been an epic force, Hades was a legend in his own right—a notion that astonished the Beast of Amber.

Hades, however, remained unfazed by the praise. "The comparison is irrelevant. My father faced not only life and death but also the weight of responsibility. I have lived with the knowledge of mortality since my inception."

"Such wisdom!" the Beast of Amber remarked, his respect for Hades evident. "Your calm demeanor sets you apart, unlike Master Poseidon's misguided path or Master Zeus's arrogance. Your disposition is destined for greatness."

Hades took this to heart, contemplating the implications of the Beast's observations about Poseidon. Was there a truth in the shadows he had overlooked? He knew that as he confronted Cronus, the real adversaries would be his brothers, Poseidon and Zeus.

In this moment, he remained vigilant, acutely aware of the need to monitor their developments.

"Hehe" The Beast of Amber chuckled, a hint of foreboding in his tone. "It seems you've deduced the truth, Master Hades. While I won't elaborate further, your insights are not unfounded. His Majesty speaks with conviction."

Hades understood the implications of the Beast's words: he might not leave the Titan Temple alive. Even if he could break through the Beast's defenses, what would that truly achieve?

"Everything will come to an end," Hades replied with unwavering calm. "Just as you place your faith in Cronus, we are here not to die but to pursue victory. It may be an arduous path, but we will triumph in the end."

The Beast of Amber shook his head solemnly. "No, Lord Hades. In my eyes, the three of you stand no chance against His Majesty. This is where your journey concludes."
