Chapter 125 - Dog God, Experiment, Teaching?

Although the names of the ultimate powers ignited by Hades and the Twelve Titans differ, they fundamentally ignite the same essence of ultimate power. It's nearly impossible for them to share the exact same name. Thus, each Underworld god who comprehends this power gains a unique understanding.

"Thank you, Lord Hades!" the Underworld gods exclaimed, kneeling respectfully, their eyes filled with respect, admiration, and even madness. Over time, their initial dissatisfaction faded as they began to grasp what following Hades truly offered.

"Um," Hades replied indifferently, "step back."

"Yes!" the gods responded, retreating respectfully at Hades's command.

As they departed, Cerberus curled up in Hades's arms, softly whimpering. Hades gently caressed Cerberus, lost in thought.

After a moment, Hades reactivated his ultimate power, channeling divine energy into Cerberus. Overwhelmed by this immense power, Cerberus fell into a deep sleep.

Holding the slumbering Cerberus, Hades remained calm. Although the name "Cerberus" was familiar, this version was merely a creation of his own—an Underworld guard dog. After all, Typhon, Cerberus's progenitor, had yet to exist.

Hades had combined power drawn from the outer gods to create Cerberus, instilling three laws: darkness, death, and sleep. These laws melded into a singular essence—the Law of the Dog God. Thus, Cerberus transformed into a god rather than remaining just a guard dog. Though the title may sound appealing, at its core, Cerberus was a powerful being.

Hades viewed this as an experiment: integrating Cerberus's divine power and laws into the ultimate power. If successful, he would gain a new god of the Underworld; if not, he could easily recreate Cerberus as just another guard dog.

After hundreds of years, Cerberus awoke, far sooner than the other Underworld gods.

"Um?!"

"Arf!"

Cerberus opened her eyes, dazed but obediently nuzzling Hades's hand.

"Show your human form," Hades commanded.

"Arf!"

Cerberus complied, transforming from a puppy into a small girl appearing around seven or eight years old. She had long black hair and three black dog head tattoos on her shoulders and chest, with a wheat-colored complexion.

"Clothing," Hades instructed.

"Arf!"

"Yes!"

Cerberus opened her mouth as if to speak but hesitated. Finally, she bit her tongue and found her voice, summoning a flowing black robe that beautifully complemented her petite figure.

If someone were inclined, they might find this transformation alluring; however, Hades was not that sort of being. He had no interest in Cerberus beyond her role as a god.

"Owner!" Cerberus saluted Hades. Despite her cute appearance, as the Dog God, she possessed formidable power, nearly comparable to that of a first-class god. Her abilities were unique, almost embodying a divine will beyond the ordinary.

"Return to the Yellow Spring and convert all your divine power into the power of the tenth sense."

"Yes!"

Hades issued the command, unconcerned about whether Cerberus could fulfill it. If she succeeded, it would be beneficial; if not, he could always create another version.

Hades was eager to see if Cerberus could truly grasp the power of the tenth sense, which could lead to intriguing developments.

"Um!"

Closing his eyes, Hades resumed his training. With 30,000 years ahead of him, he needed to master the ultimate power and strengthen himself further. Soon, he would face Cronus, the supreme Titan Lord, for the third time, and he still felt uncertain about victory. Even the most powerful gods harbored doubts against Cronus.

"Arf!"

Cerberus, still adjusting to her human form, returned to the Yellow Spring. Upon arrival, she spotted a massive castle at the gates of hell, adorned with the emblem of the three-headed dog—clearly a palace crafted for her.

"Wow!" Cerberus joyfully exclaimed, thrilled to receive this gift from her master.

"Lord Cerberus!" Chubb, Ochs, and Chris, the three Underworld warriors, approached and knelt before her.

"Arf?!"

Cerberus tilted her head, prompting the warriors to explain.

Chubb, despite being a warrior of the Earth Evil Spirit, was the first fighter of evil spirits. With a wry smile, he said, "Master Cerberus, we were hoping to find a way to advance further, so we came to the Yellow Spring to seek insight."

"Arf!"

Cerberus perked up, excited at the thought of teaching them something.

"Ah?!"

The warriors looked puzzled. What did she mean by teaching them? Did she intend to help them understand the will of the gods? Unbeknownst to them, Cerberus aimed to share knowledge about the ninth sense.
