Chapter 96 - Hyperion, Defeated!

"Really."

Hades calmly uttered these words, confirming his suspicion. Hyperion could summon Ouroboros, which meant he had cultivated the World Tree from world seeds and built his divine kingdom upon it. Hades' guess had proven accurate.

"Hades!" Hyperion's voice thundered, flames of the Red Lotus illuminating his figure. With a gleam of excitement in his eyes, he declared, "This is incredible! A battle like this has never happened since my birth. It's truly exhilarating!"

"Hahaha" He laughed joyously, his excitement palpable. Locking eyes with Hades, he continued in a low voice, "Let's settle this! Will you overcome my obstacle to face His Majesty, or shall I eliminate the threat you pose?"

"Bring it on," Hades replied resolutely.

With that, both gods summoned their artifacts: the Pluto Sword and the Chu Zhen Great Sword. They radiated boundless divine power and laws, shimmering with a brilliance that seemed to permeate the very fabric of reality.

"Roar!"

"Roar!"

The Ouroboros of the Underworld and the Red Lotus emerged simultaneously, unleashing heart-piercing roars as their laws clashed together.

In an instant, the divine power unleashed crushed stars light-years away, obliterating vast expanses of the chaotic starry sky.

Then, in perfect synchrony, Hades and Hyperion moved.

There were no complex maneuvers, only raw sword strikes. Each attack was infused with immense divine power and countless laws, making the entire chaotic starry sky tremble with their might. The divine energy rippling through the cosmos created an overwhelming sense of danger.

All the gods: Poseidon, Zeus, Cronus, Rhea, Erebus, and Nyx observed this monumental clash, their attention focused on the two titans. As long as their divine senses could reach, they watched with bated breath, knowing that a single misstep could lead to disaster.

The battle had escalated to an intense stage; neither god dared to be careless. A momentary lapse in concentration could seal their fate.

"Infinite Red Flame!" Hyperion shouted, channeling the Red Lotus Ouroboros into the Chu Zhen Great Sword. Infinite red lotuses erupted from the blade, surging forth with blinding brilliance. "Hades! This is my strongest attack! Prepare yourself; let this be the decisive moment!"

In response, Hades raised his hand, merging the Underworld Ouroboros with the Pluto Sword. A strange skull adorned with one hundred and eight magic stars manifested, summoning nine celestial bodies: Mercury, Venus, Mars, Earth, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto. Each star brought forth a unique law, their combined divine brilliance melding into the Pluto Sword.

"Great Eclipse!" Hades proclaimed, the power of the attack building to its peak.

Both gods had poured their divine power, laws, and everything they had into this final confrontation. The clash of the vast Red Lotus flames and the majestic stars would determine their fates.

As Hyperion's eyes fell upon the Pluto Sword, a fleeting moment of distraction seized him. It was just a split second, a slight pause in thought, but in this fierce battle, that was enough for Hades to seize the opportunity.

"Roar!" The Red Lotus Ouroboros howled, struggling against the Underworld Ouroboros, but it was ensnared, unable to escape. In that critical moment, Hades' sword pierced through Hyperion's chest.

The seemingly simple duel belied its true nature; even a momentary lapse could result in dire consequences. Hades had gone all in, knowing he had to use everything at his disposal to defeat Hyperion; anything less would lead to failure.

"The seal of the magic stars!" Hades commanded, and the one hundred and eight magic stars transformed into chains that bound Hyperion.

"Hahaha" Hyperion chuckled, his eyes gleaming with admiration. "Hades! You've truly impressed me! I never lowered my guard. It seems my final attack was in vain."

The Chu Zhen Great Sword was forced down, but in that instant, Hyperion sensed something was amiss. His eyes widened in shock as he realized he had been outmaneuvered.

Unfortunately, he never had the chance to finish his thought. Hades had already retreated to the Underworld, leaving Hyperion behind.

With their departure, nearly one-fifth of the chaotic starry sky, devastated by their clash began to restore itself, resurrecting the fallen Titan gods.

Yet, all the watching deities were left in suspense, curious about what Hyperion had intended to say and what had transpired in that fleeting moment.

Regardless of the outcome, one thing was certain: the world was on the brink of chaos. Hyperion, the sun god and a Titan known as the strongest, had been defeated.
