Chapter 87 - The Prophet Prometheus

"Hades!"

"Zeus."

Both sides paused.

Facing Hades, Zeus smiled, showing no intention of conflict after the events at the end of the sky, but everything felt charged with tension. The gods, with their seemingly endless lifespans, often overlooked the significance of such moments, not realizing how crucial they were. While some exceptional humans might surpass gods, the idea that humans could outpace them in knowledge accumulation was laughable. The gods might not actively use their wisdom, but they were adept at it, just like Zeus at this moment.

Hades remained calm, cradling little Cerberus, and said lightly, "Let's go."

"Of course!"

With smiles, the two gods moved toward the depths of the heart of the ocean, accompanied by their respective deities. The twin gods exchanged glances; their expressions turned serious.

Thanatos, the grumpy god of death, communicated through divine thoughts: "Hypnos, is that Prometheus?"

Hypnos replied, "That's right. I didn't expect Prometheus to become Zeus's ally. Someone more troublesome than Me4tis has appeared."

As the son of Iapetus, one of the twelve main Titans and Asia, Prometheus was renowned as the most intelligent god, while his brother Epimetheus was known as the most foolish. Despite this, their bond was strong. Prometheus's wisdom made him a figure of respect among the gods, while Epimetheus, despite his lack of intelligence, was no weakling; he stood as a powerful main god.

The other two brothers, Atlas and Menoetius, were formidable as well. If Prometheus joined Zeus, it was likely the rest of the brothers would follow, strengthening Zeus's position immensely.

The twin gods recognized that while Metis was wise, she paled in comparison to Prometheus. If Metis was level 70, Prometheus was a staggering level 101. The weight of this knowledge pressed down on them.

Poseidon.

Zeus.

They were forces to be reckoned with.

Poseidon had subdued the five sons of the sea, and upon their recovery, they would stand as powerful allies. Alongside him were the 3,000 river gods and sea gods at his command.

Zeus commanded the four brothers of Prometheus, the three-hundred-armed Titans, and had Metis as both wife and advisor. With the support of his three sisters: Hestia, Demeter, and Hera; Zeus's power was formidable.

In terms of sheer strength, none of the three god kings were weak, and each was a force to be reckoned with.

"Hades."

"Zeus."

While the twin gods pondered, they arrived at the center of the heart of the ocean.

The three familiar god thrones awaited them, and the three god kings took their seats. Poseidon remained indifferent, Zeus smiled, while Hades stroked Cerberus, revealing no emotional fluctuation.

An eerie silence enveloped the atmosphere.

None of the three spoke; the air felt thick with anticipation.

At that moment, the three sisters; Hestia, Demeter, and Hera emerged. Notably, behind Hera stood a goddess with flowing blue hair and an elegant smile: Eris, the goddess of Discord!

Her presence was unmistakable, standing as a clear signal of her intentions.

Hades and the twin gods regarded the trio, acknowledging Eris but remaining silent. Each party was lost in thought, contemplating their strategies.

"In this way..." Hades grasped Aether's intention: using Eris to provoke tension between Hera and Metis. Given Hera's character, this kind of provocation could easily ignite conflict, though she would likely be cautious after a moment's reflection.

Yet Hades's main focus remained on Prometheus. Among the gods, Prometheus was respected for his wisdom, but Hades knew that true power lay in strength, not cunning. As long as he wielded the most potent divine power, Prometheus's wisdom meant little.

After all, wisdom alone couldn't defeat Cronus, the invincible Titan God King. It was absurd to think otherwise.

Hades withdrew from these thoughts, returning to his practice of the law. During this time, his divine essence had grown to 400,000, a respectable figure.

He sought only the purest souls, the faith they offered significantly exceeding that of common beliefs; a terrifying efficiency.

Silence settled again as Hades continued his practice. Poseidon and Zeus appeared deep in thought, the three god kings waiting patiently for the Titan War to begin, a calm before the inevitable storm.
