The seventy-two demon gods before Charon are also peers, born from this world. As they emerged, they gradually devoured the land, transforming it into a realm of hell under their rule.
"Solomon's Seventy-two Demon God Pillars."
"Interesting!"
Charon, carrying his oars, moved further inside without hesitation. Fear? Nonsense! In his heyday, Charon was a true titan. His strength still remained.
If he were truly in a hurry, Underworld garment would evolve into Shenmingyi in no time, and then he'd easily crush these demon gods. After all, how strong could the seventy-two pillar demon gods born in a small world really be? The seventh sense? They were all finished.
In Charon's perception, the demon gods generally operated at the sixth sense level, with only a few reaching the seventh sense. And among them, just one had attained the first stage of the eighth sense.
"Oh!"
With a smirk, Charon quipped, "In such a small world, an eighth sense demon god has emerged! As expected of the Seventy-two Pillar Demon Gods, truly outstanding talent!"
Belial, one of the seven monarchs of hell, commands these seventy-two pillars, each possessing terrifying strength. Most are main gods, with very few reaching the level of titan main gods, and some even rival their own monarch.
Though nominally subordinate to Belial, many of these demon gods are formidable in their own right. They retain both strength and status.
As Charon stepped into this small world, the seventy-two Demon God Pillars began to tremble.
"Who?!"
"Who?!"
Two phantoms appeared: one holding a book, and another wielding a hell snake. These figures were the 71st and 72nd ranked demon gods, Dantalion and Andromalius.
"Hee hee hee"
With a playful laugh, Charon stepped into the realm as if he owned it. He confronted the two demon gods, defeating them effortlessly until they returned to a dying state, merging back into the Demon God Pillar.
This was simply Charon's mercy. After all, these seventy-two Demon God Pillars could be valuable assets for the Underworld. Although they were bred in a small world, their essence remained unchanged. With proper nurturing, they could thrive.
"Presumptuous!"
"Intruders!"
"Court death!"
As Dantalion and Andromalius were subdued, the remaining seventy-two demon gods launched an offensive. But under Charon's assault with his oars, they were completely outmatched.
Charon fought through them from east to west and from south to north, leaving no single opponent standing. One by one, the demon gods fell back into a dying state, quietly awaiting their fate.
Eventually, after Charon dispatched several, only four demon gods remained. Three were at the peak of the seventh sense, and one was at the first stage of the eighth sense, Solomon's four supreme pillars.
The 32nd demon god, Asmodeus, the monarch of the north, bore a strange form with three heads: a bull's head, a human head, and a ram's head, alongside a snake tail.
The 29th demon god, Astaroth, the monarch of the south, emanated a foul stench and held a hellish dragon in his right hand.
The 9th demon god, Paimon, the monarch of the west, had a female face on a male body, adorned with a crown of gems and riding a single-humped camel.
The 1st demon god, Bael, the monarch of the east, possessed a multitude of ever-changing faces.
The Supreme Four Pillars!
These four demon gods, the most powerful among the seventy-two, awaited Charon's arrival.
Bael spoke softly, "Who are you, and why have you come here?"
"Hee hee hee"
With a strange chuckle, Charon introduced himself: "I am Charon, the Boatman of Tianjianxing, serving Lord Hades! As a warrior of the Underworld, I've come to destroy this world, but I find your Demon God Pillars quite intriguing, so I plan to take them back for Lord Hades."
"Arrogance!"
The hot-tempered Astaroth growled in response.
Before he could react, Charon's paddle struck Astaroth directly, knocking him into a near-death state as he lay helplessly on the ground.
Peak seventh sense? Nonsense! To Charon, this level of strength was trivial.
Charon was not to be underestimated.
Seeing Charon's ruthless assault, the remaining three demon gods fell silent, knowing there was no resolution to be had.
"Hee hee hee"
Charon smiled nonchalantly, "You three, will you return to the Demon God Pillar obediently, or do I have to beat you half to death before you comply?"
Honestly, if he were in the Underworld, Charon wouldn't hold back. He would deal with these demon gods directly and then ask Lord Hades to integrate the Demon God Pillars into the Underworld.
But he had to be careful not to destroy them outright. If he wasn't cautious, he could face a very embarrassing situation: the Demon God Pillars might dissipate entirely.
It wasn't easy to create a new Demon God Pillar; the Seventy-two Demon God Pillars were born from the law of correspondence. Losing them would mean he might not encounter another set for a long time.
Hades frequently entered the Chaos Sea to gather resources. For any other god, encountering the seventy-two Demon God Pillars could be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. If something went wrong, the loss would be substantial.
Fortunately, it was Charon who had come to this world. If one of the other four Underworld warriors, less knowledgeable, had arrived, they might have killed the demon gods outright, leading to a true loss.
Next, the three demon gods joined forces.
"R..."
"Turning paddle!"
Accompanied by Charon's fighting technique, a terrifying small universe erupted, sweeping the three demon gods and stuffing the so-called four supreme pillars back into their respective Demon God Pillars.
Charon calmly secured the Demon God Pillars into the Demon Star, continuing his work.
