Chapter 72 - Underworld Cloth, Aether's Plan

"Lord Hades!"

The two gods knelt respectfully, hands on their chests, declaring their loyalty with a flourish reminiscent of medieval knights.

On the left, a somewhat feminine figure with long dark gray hair, dressed in a dark gray robe, was Momes, the god of mockery. To the right stood Ker, a towering god with dark purple hair and a formidable presence, representing destruction.

Hades raised his hand slightly, signaling for Momes and Ker to rise. Ker sensed a seal before him and began to dismantle it with his spiritual power. The barrier dissolved, revealing another treasure trove above the clouds.

As Hades collected the treasures, he once again discovered a god stone. To him, no amount of divine stones was ever enough. He envisioned a future where recruiting gods would be easier if he could offer them divine garments.

With the second treasure now secured, Hades meticulously searched through the remaining seals. After thoroughly exploring the End of the Sky, he confirmed there were seven seals in total. With all treasures collected, Hades prepared to return to the Underworld.

In the Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, Hades lifted his hand, revealing the collection of divine stones he had amassed. Counting them carefully, he found a staggering total of one hundred.

"This is remarkable," he murmured. "It's time to begin."

With a sweeping gesture, he gathered the Dark Stone, the God Stone, and other materials before him. Summoning the flames of the Underworld, he began to smelt and forge.

As time passed, all the materials were consumed, yielding a luxurious set of battle garments that shimmered with a brilliant dark purple light.

"Underworld Clothes," Hades named it softly. Unlike the garments crafted by Zeus, this was the true divine apparel of the Underworld, a creation born from its very essence, known as Mingshen's attire.

In a tranquil corner of the Underworld, Hypnos listened to the serene melodies sung by the nymphs, servants conjured by each god of the Underworld.

"Hypnos."

"Thanatos."

Thanatos's arrival prompted Hypnos to respond calmly. "What brings you here?"

"Metis is a potential threat to our realm. We should consider addressing her soon," Thanatos said, frowning slightly.

Hypnos nodded. "Dealing with Metis is complex, especially now when the Titan War hasn't even begun. It wouldn't be wise for Lord Hades to confront Zeus directly at this stage."

Thanatos's expression darkened. He harbored a deep-seated animosity toward Metis, recognizing her cunning as a formidable weapon against them.

While they conversed, two brilliant streaks of light shot by, dropping two exquisite sets of Underworld Clothes before them.

"Refined with divine blood," Hypnos noted.

"Indeed," Thanatos confirmed.

"Thank you, Lord Hades!" they both said, kneeling again in respect.

Once Hades's voice faded, they rose and carefully dripped their blood onto the Mingshen garments, which then adhered to their forms. They felt a surge of divine power enhance their own strength, eliciting smiles from both gods.

Meanwhile, in another part of the Underworld, Hemera was deep in conversation with Aether, the God of Space.

"Aether, Metis poses a serious threat. If we allow her to continue unchecked, it could spell trouble for us all."

"Hemera, we cannot act against Metis at this moment. You understand that," Aether replied, his starry hair gleaming. As the eldest son of Erebus and Nyx, his wisdom and restraint were well known.

Though Hemera was soft-spoken, her urgency was palpable.

Aether considered this. "I will take responsibility for this matter. The best way to counter a cunning woman is to use another woman."

Just then, Eris, Oizys, and Nemesis approached, each a striking figure in their own right.

"What's the matter?" Hemera asked, noticing their presence.

"Aether summoned us," Eris said, surprised.

"Interesting," Hemera mused.

Suddenly, five radiant lights flashed, depositing five luxurious sets of Underworld Clothes at their feet. Hades's voice echoed again.

"Refined with divine blood."

"Thank you, Lord Hades!" they exclaimed, kneeling in reverence. Once Hades's voice faded, they stood and dripped their divine blood onto the garments, which then wrapped around them, imbuing them with enhanced power.

In the Destiny Star, Keres, Clotho, Lachesis, and Atropos were diligently weaving the threads of fate. As they spun a vast tapestry, the purpose of their work remained shrouded in mystery.

"How goes it?" asked Apate, a serene beauty with long light purple hair.

"Nearly finished," Keres replied, wiping her brow. "Aether's preparations are ready, but guiding the target into such a fate won't be easy."

"Given Aether's resolve, I trust he has a plan," a wine-haired goddess, Philotes, added confidently.

"Agreed," said Kakaya, a black-haired goddess with an intense gaze.

As Aether's influence loomed large, seven beams of light descended, bringing seven more sets of Underworld Clothes.

"Thank you, Lord Hades!" the seven goddesses chorused, kneeling. They soon adorned themselves with the garments, feeling their divine powers swell.

Meanwhile, the other gods of the Underworld, including Ross, Moss, Ker, and the childlike god Jas, also received their Underworld Clothes from Hades, each filled with gratitude.

"Refined with divine blood!" they echoed.

"Thank you, Lord Hades!"
