Hades sensed fluctuations in his consciousness, his eyes fluttering open slightly as he whispered, "The Underworld warrior of the Omen..."
Then, he closed his eyes once more, delving into the study of the ultimate power absorbed from Koios.
Ultimate Power!
As the most primal force in existence, ultimate power could be seen as the root of all forms of energy, whether it be the will of the gods, the ninth sense, or the small universe. All other powers such as spiritual, magical, and those yet to be discovered stem from this source.
Yet, the power of Omega diverged from this lineage, representing a unique path that belonged solely to humanity. For the gods, involvement in this human journey only led to complications, often resulting in turmoil.
Hades understood that his task was to explore and comprehend this ultimate power, to gradually master it. The question of what ultimate power truly was could wait; he knew ambition without understanding could lead to ruin. If one tried to run before learning to walk, failure was inevitable, perhaps even fatal.
His divine sense sank deep into his soul, the ultimate power melding with his essence, gradually revealing its nature.
Understanding ultimate power felt almost innate; it wasn't something one could merely cultivate. It seemed fundamentally inaccessible to most. Aside from the eight primordial gods and the gifted Titan King, Cronus, none possessed this ultimate power. The other Titan Lords struggled to wield it, an indication of a profound issue.
What lay at the core of this ultimate power? Hades pondered as he methodically dissected its essence.
After tens of thousands of years of contemplation, Hades halted his analysis. Opening his eyes, a flicker of pink light glimmered briefly before he regained his composure. "Ultimate power... so this is its essence..."
He could hardly believe it. Who would have thought that the fundamental nature of ultimate power would encompass such complexity? The will of the gods, the ninth sense, the small universe, and all the other powers; each was a facet of cultivation. As long as one practiced diligently, they could ascend to greater realms and grow stronger.
Yet, therein lay a profound dilemma. Hades whispered to himself, "The essence of ultimate power is the convergence of laws. the perfect amalgamation of them. No wonder..."
Realization dawned on him. Since the dawn of myth, only nine beings had ever possessed ultimate power. As Nyx had remarked, each individual's ultimate power was entirely unique; forcibly appropriating another's would only yield chaos.
Indeed, while other powers like the will of the gods functioned as exercises, ultimate power resembled a powerful artifact, akin to primordial purple energy. To forge one's own ultimate power, one must absorb this primordial essence, consolidating all laws into a singular force.
But this understanding brought forth a stark truth: without the foundational seed, one could never hope to manifest ultimate power.
"From the Pluto avatar of Father God, I acquired part of the ultimate power. From Koios, I obtained an incomplete version..."
He pondered whether he could distill it further.
With a single hand raised, two pink rays of light ignited, resembling twin flames. This incomplete ultimate power emanated different laws, one connected to space and Pluto, the other entwined with black thunder.
These powers belonged to two Titan Lords, gifted by Cronus. As they cultivated their strength, the laws intertwined with Cronus, empowering him and, in turn, reinforcing the Titans in a flawless cycle.
Yet, the question loomed: could Hades refine the ultimate power he absorbed into a pure seed? No one had ever managed to extract the laws from ultimate power and reform them into a seed.
"It's worth a try," Hades murmured, summoning the bright flames of the Underworld. As the flames shifted into God-killing Flames, their colors blended dark purple, gold, and red.
Once fully transformed, they would become a brilliant golden-red, signifying the God-killing Flame.
"Patience," he reminded himself, withdrawing the ultimate power to practice his God-killing Thunder, merging its essence with the flames. This task was straightforward; the methods were laid before him, all paths leading to the same destination. It wouldn't take long.
In the grand scope of time, thousands of years were but fleeting moments.
At last, a pure golden flame raged in Hades' palm, representing the perfected God-killing Flame. A dazzling flash of pure golden lightning danced beside it the God-killing Thunder he had cultivated.
"Now, we can begin."
With a calm demeanor, Hades prepared to proceed. He once more summoned the two ultimate powers, igniting them fiercely with the God-killing Flames.
Weird pink smoke spiraled upward, creating an eerie ambiance as countless phantoms flickered within. Hades remained unfazed; these were the laws being consumed. As he continued to burn the powers, a myriad of visions emerged.
This process spanned nearly tens of thousands of years, depleting Hades' divine energy and the magic stored within the Magic Star. Finally, after extensive effort, he stood before the core, a seed-like core emanating a faint, transparent glow. It was incredibly fragile, so weak that it seemed a mere gust could disperse it.
Yet, a smile crept across Hades' face; his experiment had succeeded. He had purified the ultimate power using the God-killing Flames, burning away its laws and revealing the pure seed of ultimate power.
