"The Blossom Plane? Fuck the heavens!" She cursed aloud which caused Athan to raise a brow at her outburst. Just where was this heading to now?
But the girl had no other option but to curse here. Was it that the heavens were blind or was it that they were now playing favorites? Just how could they?
From how powerful he was, there was no way he was in the Blossom Plane. To put matters into perspective, the Blossom Plane was not just another level of cultivation but it was the second cultivation realm.
What shocked her even more was that he was in the early stages of the Blossom Plane and the first stage to be specific. The first meridian was filled with the slightest of energy.
This somehow angered her. From the look, it was obvious that he never even tried to cultivate! It was likely he did not know how he got into the Blossom Plane in the first place.
There was a limit to how ignorant someone could be, right? What level of ignorance was he displaying? Who dared to not Energy cultivate?
She had thought that no one would before but the reality before her said otherwise. It was likely she had just come across an anomaly.
One could understand her now. The strength he had was not supposed to come from someone as weak as him. What she was thinking now was that the strength he had displayed was supposed to be given to someone like her.
She was in the Peak of the Master Plane and few steps away from breaking into the Supreme Plane. This made her feel superior to him. She felt like she could crush him with a finger.
But she knew that that was just her own wishful thinking. The Orc he had taken down, she could not even put a scratch on it. Just what was the source of his strength.
The reason she could not think of his Body Cultivation was due to obvious reasons. The Body Cultivators were not yet to show their fangs.
This was because, with the discovery of Energy Cultivation, many wanted to get powerful and they did not think that ciltivating their bodies could make them powerful.
They went for the obvious route to success which was Energy Cultivation. Even her family did not have Body Cultivators. Thus, thinking of him as a Body Cultivator did not even cross her mind.
Athan though, he was in a different point of view. Blossom Plane. That name sounded great in his ears. Could it be that he was in the Blossom Plane?
From her reaction, it seemed that she was lower than that. So Energy cultivation was this difficult? Then he really was a genius. His face could not help but get proud.
Could it be that he could crush people out there with a finger? Then he really was a genius. He did not even note the sneer that had appeared on her face when she saw his proud look.
"What about the Blossom Plane?" Athan asked anticipation clear in his voice as he awaited for the sky shattering discovery he was about to experience.
"If I were you, I would wipe the pride on my face. The Blossom Plane? What a joke! I even thought that you were someone strong only to end up being a weakling.
" The Blossom Plane is nothing but the second plane of cultivation. You are actually the weakest of all Blossom Plane cultivators. Even a newly broken in is more powerful than you are. A shame indeed," the girl spoke not hiding the contempt in her voice.
Athan who had been listening felt like his world was crumbling. The first was the sky shattering which was followed buy hundred of spears that pierced his chest.
He could only rub his nose looking away. He just realized how lacking he was in knowledge about the world. He knew little to nothing. But he was quick to change the topic. They were not supposed to be talking about his weak cultivation.
" So, how do I access the ring?" He asked still rubbing his nose not even looking at her.
" I wonder if you can. What you are supposed to do is to send you Spiritual Sense into the ring and inspect it. Since it has not yet been tied to anyone else's, it is going to get tied by yours," she said as she walked past him.
Athan stood for a while lost in thoughts. 'Spiritual Sense'. What was that? He racked his brain for long. Were they now really into religion for real? What a change the world had undergone.
"Don't tell me you don't know what Spiritual Sense is?" She asked jesting but his reply was was like a slap in her face. She had asked thinking he would know...
" The only religion I had an inkling of was Taosim. I don't know about Christianity," he said and from his words, he was innocent.
But this just made her feel like she was burning inside out. Was he even from Earth or was he alien? She could only calm her raging emotions as she decided to enlighten him.
"The Spiritual Sense comes from the Soul. It is like sending your conciousness into the ring. Simple," she explained but when she turned and looked at him, she could tell that he was lost.
"The Soul... Are you trying to impart your religion into me? Or do you want me to sell my Soul to your family?" Athan asked. He had heard that people used to sell their souls to the devil for riches before.
Could it be that even the girl's family were in need of Souls and that was what they wanted in guise of research? There was no way he could sell his soul. He would rather die.
Now the girl was in the verge of exploding. There was no way this guy was for real. How could he not know about the soul? Now that she thought of it, had it not been for his physical body, he would have never known he had a body.
"Sorry but I have no way of explaining to you what the Soul is. Just try to focus on yourself and you might get an inkling of what your soul is," the girl said having given up on him completely.
"Can't you check to see what my Soul Cultivation is?" He asked.
"I could but I have tried. It is impossible for someone of a lower cultivation to check the cultivation plane of those of a higher cultivation than them," she replied.
Athan was shocked. There were things he never did and one of the these things was cultivating. How could his soul be of a higher Plane than her's if he did not cultivate?
"Thanks for the information. I really did not know about the Soul. Lemme try and focus to see if I can see my 'Soul' " he said not hiding his disbelief about the Soul name.
He went to the state of mind he used to whenever he was practicing the technique Skyfall. It was where he had isolated everything such that it was only him in the world.
It did not take him long before he found himself in a vast sea of gold waters floating on it. Since the first time he came here, he had never gotten to the end of the sea.
He had tried many times but it always seemed that he was just running in a single direction and yet at the same time he was not moving at all. This had caused him to give up on the quest.
It was not until few weeks ago that he had suddenly seen an island. That was what he could describe it as for lack a good name. That was what it actually looked like in the first place.
Just a protruding rock not more than five meters wide. The island was 100 meter away but since it appeared, he had never been able to reach it.
After entering this sea, he had realized that his concentration had comprehension used to increase hundredfold. What would take him days to understand would take him at least few hours.
But that was not why he had come here. He was here so that he could try to locate his soul. He was not sure why he had come here but something told him that his Soul was connected to this vast sea.
He stood in the middle of the sea deep in thoughts. Trying to understand the concept of the Soul. The question he was asking himself was what the Soul was.
It was then that he felt a crack in his mind. He had forgotten. There was usually a barrier in his mind that seemed to try to make him try to break it everytime but how could he have known that it was related to the Soul.
He looked at the dark skies of this sea and saw a crack appear on the skies...
