As everyone stood in the hallway on the second floor, Debbie suddenly exclaimed, "Oh shoot, I forgot to bring the ladder! The attic is a bit high."
Diane chuckled. "Come on, aren't you a bit clumsy, Deb?"
Debbie rolled her eyes. "Aren't you also clumsy, Diane? You messed up the laundry last week by washing colored clothes with whites!"
Diane, taken aback by the rebuttal, coughed. "Don't embarrass me in front of everyone, Deb!"
Debbie snorted. "That's what I thought!" She then turned to Jenny. "Dear, can you please get the ladder from the garage?"
Just as Jenny was about to grumble, she thought to herself that it was for Mark, her handsome stud, so she decided to be a good girl in front of her crush. "Okay, Mom," she said with a smile.
Debbie was surprised. "That's new. What did that child eat to be so well-mannered?"
James nudged Mark with his elbow, whispering, "What did you do to Jenny, man? She's acting like a completely different person right now."
Mark grinned, glancing at Jenny as she headed downstairs. "I don't know, man." He shook his head, trying to hide his amusement.
James snickered, lowering his voice. "Well, maybe she has a crush on you. I mean, look at you—you look like you stepped out of a comic book, wearing blue tights and red panties on the outside."
Mark raised an eyebrow. "You meant Superman, right? And the way you describe him makes him sound a bit… sassy."
James laughed. "Isn't that what he always wears? But Jenny, just wait—her mood can flip in a heartbeat. It's kind of scary, but you get used to it."
Suddenly, they heard Jenny's voice downstairs calling for help. "I need someone to carry the ladder upstairs!"
Mark jumped into action as soon as he saw her by the stairs, leaning against the wall while positioning the ladder beside the steps. Jenny looked up, and as she spotted Mark approaching, she said, "Oh, here comes my prince charming."
Grabbing the ladder, Mark playfully replied, "Where is the princess? How come I didn't see her?"
"Maybe you need to kiss her to see her, as that's her curse," Jenny said seductively.
Mark chuckled. "Looks like this princess is gonna be cursed forever."
"Really? Who wouldn't want to kiss this beautiful and sexy princess?" Jenny purred, presenting herself with a sultry flair, highlighting her curves.
Mark coughed, trying to avoid the temptation. "Come on, Jenny, we need to get to your mom so we can access the attic."
Jenny snorted at his distraction. "Your loss." She started up the stairs, swaying her hips playfully, fully aware of the effect she had on him.
Mark shook his head at this bouncy temptation and sighed, thinking, Damn, this girl is killing me. He lifted the ladder and followed her up the stairs.
As Mark greeted everyone in the hallway, Debbie helped him position the ladder to the attic, which was cleverly hidden. Once it was in place, Debbie said, "Okay, people, now that we have the ladder, it's time to open the attic!"
Debbie climbed up using the ladder, and Mark held it steady, worried that she might slip. As Debbie reached high enough to touch the attic door, Mark couldn't help but glance up, only to find himself staring at her purple lace panties, which somehow see through one he can see a vague outline of the hair and lips. Immediately, he looked away, but the image lingered in his mind.
Mark wondered why she was still wearing a purple bathrobe. Debbie struggled with the attic door and then remembered that she had also forgotten to grab the keys. "I need to get the keys from my room!" she shouted down.
Diane rolled her eyes as Debbie rushed downstairs. Mark, controlling his rising hormones, engaged in small talk with James to distract himself.
Debbie soon returned, holding the key and sweating slightly from her sprint. As she climbed back up the ladder, Mark didn't dare to look up again, he didn't want to risk seeing anything else.
At the attic's door, Debbie inserted the key and twisted it, hearing a click that indicated it fit. She turned to the group and said, "Okay, guys, the attic is open! We can go inside now."
The trio sighed in relief, with Debbie being the first to step inside. Diane followed, and Jenny who made sure to take a chance on touching Mark's hand as she passed him, causing a jolt as her fingers slowly linger away..
James, trailing behind Jenny, smirked at Mark. "Looks like you've been locked in, bro. Good luck." He glanced at Mark as if he were about to be executed.
Mark rolled his eyes at James's nonsense and followed as the last one up, stepping into the attic with a mixture of excitement and apprehension.
