Akisame POV:
What a monster! Yes, that's what he is. A true monster. Because calling him a genius, will be an insult to what he is showing right now and has been showing us since past couple of months. The combat awareness and the ease with which he learns and integrate martial arts is something that I didn't think was possible till now. That's coming from me, one of the masters of Ryõzanpaku.
Sigh. This is supposedly the place where the most talented and renowned masters of martial arts have gathered. We all had our natural talents that we were absolutely proud of. Shigure with her spatial awareness that makes her highly specialized in weapons while also being a stealth specialist. Kensei with his smaller build and natural sense of the body's centre of gravity that allows him to redirect any sort of physical attack coming towards him. Elder with his unique flexibility that allows him to be highly proficient in his specialized martial arts. Sakai with his unnaturally high combat IQ. Apachai with his unpredictability (though that is mostly because he doesn't exactly think while fighting). Finally, Me with my abnormally high amount of pink muscles.
Moreover, Miu being grandchild of Elder, inherited his unique physique making her also a genius in her own regard. This will allow her body to be very well aligned with the unique martial arts of her family.
But none of the above compare to the monstrosity in front of us. It's as if heaven himself has blessed Fushiguro Megumi to make everyone around him jealous. Everything I mentioned above is already present in the boy. Everything that made us unique in our own regard is just another normal to him. Every fucking thing. Even my abnormal amount of pink muscles that shouldn't be even possible in a human.
I mean I can accept the fact Gojo Satoru has it but him too. Afterall Gojo fucking Satoru himself confirmed this fact, when he claimed that he wants me to take over Megumi's training considering the similarities in our physique. That also would have been enough of a surprise. But no; then our little devil went ahead and said he wanted to learn all our respective martial arts. Of course, even if we had agreed at that time(considering who his guardian is), we all thought at most he would be a jack of all trades for quite some time before focusing on one of them for mastery (most probably jiu-jitsu).
But then the little shit had to show us the difference between naturally talented and heavenly blessed. Fuck jack of all trades, he will be master of them all. Sigh. Though considering who his biological father was, this shouldn't have been much of a surprise. If he hadn't asked to learn all our different martial arts, he might have completed his training in the first year itself. Thank god, that didn't happen. Otherwise we might have lost our only constant source of money.
Still, even if I knew sorcerers earn a lot of money, I didn't think Mr. 'strongest in the world' would causally accept the ridiculous fees, Kensei made up on spot. It was his idea to first ask for a ridiculously high fees and then have me reduce it by 10 times. It was more of a joke we planned to do and already did with Megumi. I didn't think he would go for it again. And that smug white haired bastard just accepted it as if it's nothing.
"Akisame-sensei" Megumi spoke breaking me out of my musings. "It's time."
"I see. Alright then; let me just call everyone. You need to get to platform near the fountain."
"Yeah. Let me also call Satoru."
Froze. Oh, boy.
3rd person POV:
Everyone in the house gathered around the platform. This was an exceptionally exciting event for anyone not of the supernatural community after all. Not every day it is that people get to witness an exorcism cum submission ritual of a shikigami. Event like this is the reason why all six masters of the dojo are tensed. After all, this is an event that can lead to death of the user upon failure.
Only two people at this situation are completely relaxed. Moreover, both of them have the same reason for this too. The two people thereby mentioned are, Fushiguro Megumi and Gojo Satoru. Both of them having complete faith in the fact that the ritual is bound to be success.
'Even if it fails, my presence here guarantees his survival' thinks Satoru. 'But if he is planning to do what I think he is going to, then there is absolutely no chance of success.'
Taking a deep breath, Megumi readies himself. Remembering the strategy he prepared for the ritual, he brings his hands together to form the handsign and chants.
"Divine dogs"
Two dogs of black and white respectively appear by the side of him. Since his preparation is complete, he takes a deep breath and makes another handsign.
"Toad"
A four feet tall frog appears right in front of the shikigami user. This frog is a large green creature with a unique white patch on its stomach containing mark that the masters of Ryõzanpaku recognized resembles the Mirror of the Deep of Ten Sacred Treasures.
"Tch"
An annoyed Megumi looks pointedly at his current guardian. This causes Tsumiki standing besides the only sitting member of the audience, Satoru to get worried. But by now everyone in the audience realized that something went wrong with the ritual and only two people present are aware of the reason.
All of this has nothing to do with the summoned creature, as its only goal and instinct is to kill everyone included in the ritual. So, ignoring the audience and the summoned dogs, he directly stretches its impressively long tongue at Megumi. Seeing the unusual movement of the tongue, it is clear that it can manipulate its tongue freely anyhow it wants. The speed of the tongue clearly being that of an ordinary frog far surpasses speed of sound, reaching nearly 4000 m/s, creates miniature sonic boom.
"Shit"
This clearly catches Megumi off guard as he finds his waist being warped around by the opponent's attack. The impressive pull suddenly appears giving him or his shikigami no time to retaliate. He gets pulled towards the shikigami instantly only for his dogs to futilely try to catch up.
Now whether this happens due to pure luck or astonishingly high skill of Megumi will up for debate forever among the members present. But at the time Megumi's body reaches, he somehow manages to coat his fist with a huge amount of CE which combined with the slight spin of his body results in a devastating punch to be landed on the frog. This causes the shikigami to lose it grip on the body it is holding and Megumi falls on the ground. Taking this momentary lapse in the frog's action, Megumi repeats his dog summon handsign and then changes it to make a different sign by intertwining his fingers.
"Divine dogs: Totality"
The dogs were already running towards the toad to save their master. This sudden incantation causes the white dog to melt into the shadows and results in the black dog to turn into a giant black n white wolf. This wolf then blurs and suddenly appears with behind the toad with the upper portion of its master's current enemy in its mouth. The rest portion of the summoned toad disappears into blue flames bringing the ritual to an end.
Pausing for a moment after the short but adrenaline inducing event, Megumi release his fingers causing the transformed wolf to turn back into two dogs forms, and slowly tries to get. As he does so he gets hold of a pebble on the ground and instantly throws it at Satoru. But of course, it stops just at a few centimeters away from his face.
"You knew about it. You fucking knew it and didn't tell me." Megumi speaks up angrily pointing to towards his guardian.
"Of course I did. If anyone knows more about your CT than even your clan is Gojo clan or more specifically clan leader of Gojo clan." Satoru replies with his usual smirk plastered on his face.
"Wait, knew what?" Miu asks curiously preventing Megumi to continue further.
"Well, you see" Gojo explains. "The exorcism ritual he performed, gets cancelled if there is any prior preparation. So, summoning his shikigami resulted in the failure of the ritual."
"So, does that mean preparing a suitable surrounding will also invalidate the ritual?" Akisame inquires.
"Yep" Satoru confirms checking Megumi's expression. 'Looks like he also figured it out'
"And what about weapons?" This time it's Shigure that asks.
"Nah, no external weapons are allowed in the ritual."
Even though they wanted to inquire further, seeing Megumi ready to go again they silence themselves.
'Now, what will you do, Gumi-chan?' Thinks Satoru intrigued.
Making the handsign, Megumi calls forth the Toad shikigami again for the ritual. Large green frog reappears infront of the shikigami user. Only this time there are no pre-summoned dogs besides Megumi. One more change that occurs is in the action of the user. He falls into shadow surprising everyone in the audience except Satoru causing a larger than usual smirk to appear on him. A patch of shadow remains on the ground signifying where he went.
Megumi in the infinitely large dimension present inside the shadow, quickly makes the handsigns and summons the shikigami completing the chant.
"Divine dogs: Totality"
A huge wolf appears for a second on the surface and suddenly blurs into surrounding. Reappearing behind the Toad with half of the shikigami's body already eaten up. This causes the frog's remaining portion to burst into flames. The huge wolf melts into shadow already having completed its job.
Megumi then reappears from the patch of shadow on his previous position. This marks the successful end of the ritual, causing Tsumiki and Miu in the audience cheer up and applaud. They try to rush towards Megumi only to be stopped by Satoru as he raises his left hand. It is only then that they and other members of the audience notice Megumi still looking forward and making a new handsign that causes a shadow of a bird to appear on the ground.
