Chapter 1 - Awakening Amidst the Darkness

At the peak of a secluded mountain, thick fog rolled down, covering the gloomy valley. The night was silent, with only the faint howling of the wind whistling through the cracks in the rocks. There, at the very center of the peak, an old stone altar stood firm, covered in green moss and cracks that testified to its age. Upon it lay a man, unmoving. His body seemed like a long-abandoned corpse. His skin pale, lips blue, and breath seemingly absent.

However, if one were close enough, they would feel the extraordinary energy surrounding him. The energy was not fully alive, but neither was it entirely dead. Something waited, something ready to awaken from the depths of darkness. Moment by moment passed, until finally, in the stillness of the night, the man's eyes snapped open. A crimson glow shone from his pupils, tearing through the surrounding darkness.

"My heaven... is lost," he muttered softly, his voice hoarse and filled with rage.

His hand moved, trembling as he felt the power slowly returning. His once strong fingers were stiff, but with each small movement, the dark energy around him began to swirl, obeying his will. His heart was filled with memories of the past, of the betrayal he had suffered at the hands of those he once trusted.

"I must reclaim my throne. This world... will pay," he hissed.

The sky above, once full of stars, turned dark, as if responding to the long-awaited awakening. Thick clouds began to gather, and the wind in the valley started to howl with more force. Yet the man remained still, his gaze focused on one thing—revenge.

Long ago, he was the supreme ruler of this universe. His cultivation had reached the highest pinnacle, where no god or demon could match his power. Yet blind trust in his allies had led him to ruin. In his final battle, the traitors had conspired to bring him down. They stole his throne, took everything he had built, and left him to die on this cursed altar.

But they hadn't realized one thing: death could not fully claim him. After a thousand years in darkness, the power that had once been sealed was beginning to be freed.

He rose from the altar slowly. Every movement felt like pulling his body out of a deep grave. With great effort, he stood on his feet, his eyes burning with renewed determination.

"A thousand years... they've enjoyed a heaven that was never theirs. Now, their time is up."

He looked up at the sky, a terrible grin forming on his pale face. The wind howled, and the distant sound of thunder echoed. That night, even the heavens knew that the true ruler had returned.
