Diana's voice cracked as she recalled the harrowing events. "Antonio didn't just invade the village, Papa. He... he dragged me away while his men beat Alejandro. They didn't care. They just kept hitting him over and over."
Her words were choked with sobs, her hands gripping the edge of the table for support. "I begged Antonio to stop them, but he laughed. He said Alejandro was a 'nobody.' Just a man who dared to stand in his way."
Mr. Castillo's fists clenched at his sides, his face a mask of fury and pain. Diego's expression darkened as he stepped closer to his sister.
"Antonio dragged me to the car while they were still beating Alejandro," Diana continued, her voice barely above a whisper now. "I don't even know if he survived. I don't know if he's alive or if they... if they..." She couldn't finish the sentence, her tears falling freely.
Diego's hand rested gently on her shoulder. "We'll find him, Diana. I swear we will."
