Diana let out a shaky breath, her shoulders slumping as the adrenaline drained from her body. Alejandro reached for her hand, his touch gentle but steady.
"Are you okay?" he asked softly.
She nodded, though her heart still raced. "He knows," she whispered. "He knows I've broken the promise to stay away from you."
Alejandro's jaw tightened, his expression darkening. "Let him. I'm done hiding, Diana. He can't control you...not anymore."
Diana's eyes filled with tears, her emotions a tangled mess of fear and anger.
"But what if he tells my father? Alejandro, he could ruin everything."
Alejandro pulled her into his arms, holding her tightly. "Then we'll face it together. No more lies, no more secrets. I'm not letting him dictate our lives."
Diana buried her face in his chest, drawing strength from his embrace. Despite the storm brewing around them, she felt a flicker of hope.
