The morning air was tense in the Castillo mansion as Mr. Castillo summoned Diana to his study. Alejandro stood quietly by the door, his expression unreadable but his presence as commanding as ever.
"We have an issue," Mr. Castillo began, placing a report on his desk. "A shipment of our coffee beans was rejected due to quality concerns. This is unacceptable. I need someone to oversee the plantation's inspection personally."
Diana straightened, trying to hide her unease. "Of course, Father. I'll take care of it."
Mr. Castillo nodded but leaned back in his chair. "I trust you, Diana, but you're still new to the plantation operations. Alejandro knows the intricacies better than anyone. He will accompany you."
The weight of his words settled heavily in the room. Diana's eyes flickered to Alejandro, whose jaw tightened ever so slightly, but he nodded. "I'll do my best, sir."
