Adrian paced the small apartment like a caged animal, his phone in hand as he frantically dialed every possible contact. His usually calm demeanor had shattered into a mess of panic and guilt. Abby sat at the dining table, her laptop open, searching through any surveillance footage or local reports that might offer a lead.
"She didn't just disappear," Abby muttered, her voice tight with frustration. "Someone took her. We need to think...who has a motive?"
Adrian froze mid-step, his mind racing. Marcus. He clenched his fists, his jaw tightening. "Marcus," he said aloud, his tone deadly.
Abby looked up sharply. " Wait! Wasn't that the ex-doctor? The one who lost his license because of you? I saw it on the papers a year ago."
Adrian nodded. "It has to be him. I exposed his illegal practices. He hates me, and he knows about Bianca. This... this is revenge. Since his revenge with Emily didn't work out."
