As Leon thought of the cat, he wondered what it actually was. His curiosity grew, but then, realizing he was about to get his own familiar, he chuckled.
"I wonder what kind of familiar I'll get," he mused, excitement bubbling inside him at the thought of summoning something just as powerful as the witch's familiar. The possibilities raced through his mind, and he couldn't help but anticipate what creature would come forth to serve him.
"Pity, I have to wait for my mana to fully replenish," Leon sighed as he sat on a stone, closing his eyes. He concentrated, entering a meditative state to increase his mana regeneration faster.
As he focused on calming his mind and drawing in energy from his surroundings, he felt a gentle flow of mana beginning to refill within him, and coupled with his new 10x mana regeneration, he replenished his mana within minutes.
Still, Leon kept meditating, taking his state of mind to perfection before deciding to summon his familiar. He knew that rushing the process could lead to instability, and he wanted everything to be flawless when the moment arrived. His breaths became deeper and more controlled as he continued to focus, feeling his mana swirling within him calmly.
"I need to be fully ready," he thought, keeping his concentration sharp. This familiar would be more than just a servant—it would be a reflection of his power.
"Phew..."
After some time, Leon released a deep breath as he opened his eyes. "Now, I'm ready," he said with determination, feeling the fullness of his mana and a sense of calm confidence.
The moment had arrived to summon his familiar, and Leon stood ready for whatever powerful entity might appear before him.
Rising to his feet in the vast hall, Leon began to chant, his voice steady and commanding as he invoked the skill required for the summoning.
"Spirits of shadow, heed my call,
Through ancient rites, I bind you all.
From realms unknown, to me you'll come,
Unveil the power, let the summoning be done!
My name is Leon, if any hear,
To be my familiar, draw near.
Bound by a bond, not of master and slave,
But as partners, our spirits behave."
The ancient words echoed through the spacious hall as Leon's chanting reached its crescendo. A surge of energy filled the air, swirling around him like an invisible storm. His heart pounded in anticipation—surely a being of great power was about to emerge.
With a final word, the spell was cast.
A flash of light burst in the center of the room, followed by a thick cloud of mist. Leon shielded his eyes, waiting for the mighty familiar to reveal itself. As the mist began to dissipate, something small and shadowy stepped forward.
There, sitting calmly in the middle of the summoning circle, was a black cat.
Leon blinked, staring at the creature. It meowed softly, its green eyes glowing with an eerie intelligence.
"What… What the heck is this?" Leon muttered, utterly baffled. This was not the fearsome entity he had expected. He crouched down to get a better look at the cat, wondering what kind of familiar it could possibly be.
The cat simply blinked at him, as if already knowing something he didn't.
The cat sat there, its glossy black fur shimmering under the dim light of the hall. Its eyes, a deep, glowing blue, held a strange, otherworldly gleam.
Leon blinked again. It was… just a cat. A simple cat.
"No, maybe there's something hidden," he muttered, glancing over at Cherry, his companion, who gave an approving nod. With a quick motion, Cherry showed him the notifications.
two system notifications appeared before Leon:
[ Summon Familiar Successful ]
[ Host summoned Ancient Dark Magus: Roselia ]
Leon stared at the words, his mind scrambling to comprehend. His eyes shifted back to the small black cat, now casually licking its paw.
Ancient Dark Magus…? Was this cat actually a powerful ancient entity?
Before he could process the thought, another notification flashed:
[ Host can give her a name to form a pact or simply let her return ]
Leon hesitated. "Roselia, huh?" He knelt down, studying the cat's mystical blue eyes again, trying to sense some grand, hidden power.
The cat blinked lazily, then yawned.
"Seriously?" Leon muttered under his breath. "An ancient dark magus...?"
"Hey! , are you really a Magus?" Leon asked picking her up,
The cat's gaze shifted, locking onto Leon with a look that was anything but feline. A human-like expression of mild annoyance crossed her face.
"Humph, so… you're not completely clueless," the cat scoffed. "At least you have some knowledge."
Before Leon could respond, the air around the cat shimmered, her small form dissolving into mist. In an instant, the shape of a woman emerged from the haze.
Leon watched, wide-eyed, as the transformation unfolded. The once-small cat had turned into a woman of breathtaking beauty. Dark, flowing hair cascaded down her back, shimmering like black silk. Her eyes, once the glowing blue of the cat, were now a deep, burning black—intense and mesmerizing. And her face... it was so perfect, so enchantingly beautiful, that Leon could hardly believe it. She was, without a doubt, the most beautiful woman he had seen in both of his lives.
"I was just testing you" Roselia's voice echoed in his mind, rich and velvety, as she stared at him with a curious, almost amused expression.
"I wanted to see, someone who holds so much potential is a fool who just acquired it or he at least have some understanding of his abilities" Roselia continued.
Leon was at a loss for words. He hadn't expected this—a being of such power and grace, standing before him where a simple black cat had been moments before, and was actually testing him, what about the promise of loyalty system displayed to him.
Roselia arched an eyebrow, a faint smirk playing at the edges of her lips. "You've passed my test"
She then just kneeled as she took Leon hand and kissed the back of it, as she kissed a black magical circle appeared on his hand back.
Leon looked at it curiously as he asked "what is it?"
Roselia's smile deepened as she stepped closer, her voice a low murmur. "That mark… it signifies your domination over me," she said, teasingly, her fingers gliding over the straps of her dress.
With a swift motion, she let the fabric slip from her shoulders, the dress falling in a cascade of dark silk, revealing her bare form beneath. Leon's breath caught in his throat, his eyes widening in shock as he quickly looked away, his heart pounding.
Roselia chuckled softly, amusement clear in her voice. "Oh? You're not shy, are you?"
Leon's gaze darted back, still unsettled, his face reddening slightly as he tried to meet her eyes. He shifted his glance repeatedly from her to anything else in the room, struggling to keep his focus on her face.
