The message stared back at me, glowing in the dim light.

For a second, I didn't move. My mind raced, calculating the layers of the threat. Lorenzo never wasted words. He didn't send warnings unless there was something behind them.
"Problem?" Axel asked, his voice cutting through the silence.
I handed him the phone. His jaw tightened as he read the screen.
"When did this come through?"
"Just now."
"Trace it?"
"No point," I said. "He'd never use a line we could track."
Axel tossed the phone back. "He's taunting you."
"Or setting us up for something."
Sofia stepped into the room, her arms crossed. "What's going on?"
I held up the screen. She read the message, her eyes narrowing. "He's baiting you."
"That's what I thought too," I said. "But we can't ignore it."
Dominic groaned from the couch. "He's always been one step ahead. What makes you think this time's different?"
