Kevin wasn't the kind of man to go into battle without his allies. That afternoon, he called an emergency meeting with two of his closest confidants: Veronica Sharp, a shrewd and fiercely ambitious CEO of Sharp Industries, and Alexander Greaves, a tech magnate whose connections in the underworld and intelligence networks were unrivaled.
The three of them met in a high-security room deep inside Kevin's skyscraper headquarters. The walls were lined with anti-surveillance tech, and the table in the center was equipped with holographic displays. Even Kevin's most private rooms had nothing on the security protocols in this one.
Veronica leaned back in her chair, crossing her legs as she glanced at Kevin with raised eyebrows. "You've stirred up quite the hornet's nest, Kevin."
"I didn't stir it up," Kevin said, his voice calm but firm. "They came after me."
"And now they're going to try to destroy you," Alexander said, leaning forward, his expression more serious than usual. "This isn't just a regular business rivalry. These people control everything—banks, governments, media outlets. They don't play by the same rules we do."
Kevin smiled. "That's because they don't know the rules I'm playing by."
He tapped the table, and a hologram of Ezra Cain appeared, his cold eyes staring back at them. "This is our first target. Ezra Cain. He's part of a secret group called the Shadow Consortium. They've been watching me for a while, and now they're making their move."
Veronica frowned. "The Shadow Consortium? I've heard whispers about them. Supposedly, they've been around for centuries, controlling the world from behind the scenes."
"Well, they just made their first mistake," Kevin said, folding his arms. "They underestimated me."
Alexander grinned. "So, what's the plan?"
"There's someone we need to find," Kevin replied. "His name is Sebastian Frost. He used to be one of them, but he tried to stage a coup and got kicked out. He's been off the grid for years, but if anyone knows how to take them down, it's him."
"Sebastian Frost?" Veronica repeated, her eyes widening. "He's a ghost, Kevin. Even if you can find him, do you really think he'll help?"
"I don't have to convince him," Kevin said, his tone dripping with confidence. "I just need to give him the right incentive."
