Chapter 7 - ARTISTIC VIBES

Emily decided to call Max and explain things to him,and when she did,Max was so furious that he broke up with her at that spot. He went on to tell her that he has been looking for an opportunity to tell her that he wanted to end their relationship and now,it has been offered to him on a platter of gold. He also told her that he had been married before they met and that the only reason he sticked around was because he thought she was an easy catch."Emily, you have to move on , am not the type of man u think I am" Max said, trying to disengage himself from Emily. All this while, Emily couldn't help herself with words, she stood there with mouth wide open. She was confused, should she be happy or sad?,she was still lost in her own thoughts when Max left her.

She walked through the garden aimlessly not knowing where she is headed until she bumped into a figure she felt was familiar with but never ready to look up to who he bumped into,"Sorry", she stuttered, and moved on,"Emily", the figure called out,she turned back and saw Alex his former paddy,"Hey,Alex" she called surprisingly, she didn't know what to say so Alex took the initiative and asked her to a quiet place in the garden,he noticed she was crying but he didn't know what made her cry,he asked and she explained all that had happened, Alex felt sorry for her and at the same time, some part of him rejoiced cuz he now bad a chance at Emily so he immediately reexpressed his feelings for her, Emily couldn't resist ,she needed some comfort and there was one so why wouldn't she accept him ,she agreed and their love story began.

Days passed and the appointed time was drawing near, fear gripped Emily cuz she knew how she ended up with Max and didn't want that tragedy again so she called Alex and asked him to meet up with him in the garden where they met,he told Alex that it was time for her to leave for her programme,Alex felt happy for her and this marveled her,she didn't expect that he would easily accept the news.

As they sat there, hand in hand, Emily felt a sense of clarity wash over her. She realized that she didn't have to make this decision alone. Alex was her partner, her rock, and together, they could face anything.

"Let's make a list," Alex suggested, pulling out his phone. "Pros and cons. We'll weigh everything out, and see what makes the most sense."

Emily nodded, feeling a sense of excitement build. She loved the way Alex's mind worked, always logical and methodical.

As they started brainstorming, Emily felt her doubts begin to fade. She realized that this opportunity wasn't a threat to their relationship, but a chance to grow and learn together.

"Okay, so what are the pros?" Alex asked, typing away on his phone.

"Well, I'd get to study abroad, experience a new culture, and learn from top experts in my field," Emily replied, her eyes shining with excitement.

"And what about cons?" Alex asked, looking up at her.

"I'd have to leave you behind, at least for a while," Emily said, her voice trembling.

Alex squeezed her hand. "We'll make it work. We'll Skype each other every day, and I'll come visit you whenever I can."

Emily smiled, feeling a sense of hope. Maybe, just maybe, they could make this work

As they continued to brainstorm, Emily felt a sense of excitement build. She realized that this opportunity wasn't just about her own personal growth, but also about their relationship.

"Alex, what if this is a chance for us to grow together?" she asked, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

"How do you mean?" Alex asked, his brow furrowed in curiosity.

"Well, think about it," Emily said, her voice filled with enthusiasm. "We've been together for a while now, and we've always been in the same place. But this opportunity would force us to be apart, to communicate in new ways, and to trust each other even more."

Alex nodded thoughtfully. "I see what you mean. It would be a challenge, but also a chance to deepen our connection."

Emily nodded eagerly. "Exactly! And think about all the new experiences we could have. I could learn new things, make new friends, and explore a new part of the world. And you could do the same here, pursue new passions and interests."

Alex grinned. "I like the way you think, Em. You always know how to make me see the bright side."

Emily smiled back. "That's what partners are for, right?"

As they hugged, Emily felt a sense of certainty wash over her. She knew that whatever decision they made, they would face it together, as a team.

As they pulled back from their hug, Alex looked at Emily with a determined expression. "You know what? I think we should do it. You should take the opportunity and study abroad."

Emily's eyes widened in surprise. "Really? You think so?"

Alex nodded. "Yes, I do. It's a chance of a lifetime, and I don't want you to regret not taking it. Plus, I trust us. I know we can make this work, no matter what."

Emily felt a wave of excitement wash over her. She had been hoping Alex would say that. "Really? You'd be okay with me being away for so long?"

Alex smiled. "I'd be more than okay. I'd be proud of you, Em. You deserve this."

Emily threw her arms around Alex's neck, tears of joy streaming down her face. "Thank you, Alex. Thank you for understanding me, for supporting me. I promise to make it worth it, to make us proud."

As they hugged again, Emily knew that this was it. She was going to take the leap, pursue her dreams, and make their relationship even stronger in the process.
