Chapter 4 - A New Mentor Part 1

Two Months Later

The sun had barely risen, casting a golden hue across the village, and the morning air was cool and refreshing. Two children walked side by side along the road, talking excitedly.

Kid 1: "Ah, today's weather is perfect!"

Kid 2: "You're right! So, what should we play today?"

Kid 1 shrugged, hands behind his head, as they strolled casually.

Kid 1: "We'll decide after we meet the others."

Kid 2, full of energy, started stomping in place as if ready to burst into a sprint.

Kid 2: "Yeah, let's go!"

As he turned forward to dash ahead, he suddenly collided with a tall woman. She was dressed in a deep purple robe that flowed gracefully to the ground, its fabric lined with intricate silver patterns resembling magical runes. A wide-brimmed, pointed hat, the kind only skilled mages wore, sat atop her head, its brim casting a shadow over her almond-shaped, striking purple eyes. Her long, messy blue hair spilled over her shoulders and down her back, giving her an air of both mystery and power. In one hand, she held a wooden staff, its surface adorned with runes that glowed faintly in the morning light.

Woman: "Be careful, kid. What if someone gets hurt?"

Kid 2, startled, immediately bowed his head in apology.

Kid 2: "I'm sorry!"

With a slight smile, the woman adjusted her hat and walked away without another word, her robe swirling behind her.
