Karina massaged her cheek, feeling sore after smiling for so long, but she was finally free from the group of foolish people.
Jeffry, who was driving, chuckled softly at Karina's actions. "Honestly, you look better when you're smiling," Jeffry said, keeping his eyes focused on the road.
Hearing her boyfriend's words, her hand, which had been massaging her face, stopped. A smile appeared on her face.
"By the way, how many people did you flirt with?"
"What do you mean? I wasn't flirting, everything I said was the truth."
Karina huffed, pretending not to believe him.
"Come on, let's get out" Jeffry said, removing his hand from her head.
Karina then glanced around and realized they were already in the basement. Why hadn't she noticed? Lately, her awareness seemed to be fading.
Seeing that Jeffry had opened the car door for her, she stepped out of the car.
"Jeff, we need to talk," a voice interrupted Jeffry, and he turned to see Jhon approaching.
"You should rest," Jeffry smiled at Karina, who nodded in response. After saying that, he walked off to follow Jhon.
"What's up?" Jeffry asked directly, his tone formal as he entered the meeting room.
"About the drug, you don't plan to distribute it?" Jhon asked.
"I've already thought about that. Call all the board members and military, we'll discuss it tomorrow," Jeffry said plainly.
"About your girlfriend, are you sure it was her who found the drug, and not some other scientist?"
"What do you mean?" Jeffry raised his voice a bit.
"As far as I know, Karina doesn't have a background in science. How could she create that drug in such a short time? Even experienced scientists couldn't."
"Why couldn't she? She was in biology at UI and her transcript is excellent. On what basis are you underestimating Karina?" Jeffry raised his voice, causing Jhon to fall silent.
"Jeff, that's not what I meant..."
"Next time, if you're not sure about what I say, go find evidence and bring it to me, about the person who supposedly found that drug," Jeffry stood up and left the room, his expression displeased.
After spraying alcohol on his hands and desk, Jeffry placed a dish containing the culture from the zombie crystal core that he had been working on for so long. However, nothing appeared in the petri dish, causing him to sigh sadly.
Previously, he had planned to multiply the drug without purifying the zombie crystal core, but it seemed incredibly difficult, even after 15 years of his life.
Knock knock!
Hearing the knock, he immediately took off his coat and latex gloves, then walked out of the laboratory.
"Miss, the equipment you requested is ready, you can test it now," the young man said, and Karina nodded as she began following him.
She had previously asked a graduate in engineering to make a device to break the zombie crystal core to ease her work.
A small smile appeared on her lips when she saw that the device was exactly like the one from her previous life. She immediately placed the crystal core in the device, and boom! It was broken perfectly.
She then turned to the three engineering students. "Send this device to Devan in the lab to be sterilized. Thank you for your hard work," Karina said sincerely as she handed over two bags full of crystal cores.
"Thank you," they all said together, sounding happy.

It was already 11:00 PM, and all the lights in the headquarters had been turned off. However, there was one room still lit, and inside, two people were gathered around a white table.
Seeing the red liquid in front of her made Karina smile. It wasn't a genuine smile, but a creepy one, causing her assistant's hair to stand on end.
"Store the other drugs in the cooler" Karina ordered her assistant, then left the laboratory.
Devan, her assistant, immediately put all the test tubes into the cooler. After cleaning the lab, he turned off the electricity and casually walked to his room, unaware that someone had been watching his every step.
"It's safe now, Ly" a woman said, hiding in the shadows.
They quickly turned on flashlights, creeping into the laboratory and entering a password they had somehow obtained.
Lily rushed to the fridge, took a test tube, and then went back to her own lab, leaving her friend behind to clean up the mess.

Several hours later, she was still working in her lab. Her eyes widened in disbelief as she identified the composition of the drug Karina had created, realizing it was made from zombie blood.
"How... maybe the human body was injected with zombie blood," she said, still shocked as she stared at the information before her eyes. She couldn't just sit idly; she had to tell everyone about this.
"What's wrong, Ly?"
Hearing that, she turned around and saw her friend just arriving from cleaning the lab. Lily immediately approached her.
"This is impossible!" Lily said in a panicked voice.
"Huh? What? Say it slowly."
"The potion Karina gave out... it's made from zombie blood!" Hearing that, Caca's pupils dilated in shock. She sighed in relief, thankful she hadn't drunk it.
"Seriously! That's crazy, I have no words" Caca said, raising her voice in anger.
"Wait here, I need to tell Jhon and Jeff first" Lily said as she ran off.

The news that the drug was made from zombie blood spread, and though no one knew where it came from, it sparked different reactions from the public. Karina, the creator of the drug, also faced heavy criticism from the public.
However, Karina, the one being criticized, was simply enjoying a warm cup of tea with a mask on her beautiful face.
"How long is this mask supposed to stay on? My face feels sticky."
"Come on, sis, it's only been five minutes, and it's still not absorbed."
Knock knock!
"Ugh, who is it?"
"Open the door."
Upon hearing Karina's command, Eila removed the tomatoes from her eyes and quickly went to open the door.
"Move, I'm looking for Karina."
"Aww!" she hissed as her body was pushed aside. She quickly turned around and glared at the person's back with a scornful look.
