A boy sat in a tavern, not to young not to old, but that was all you could make of him.
He had a bright red cloak with a hood draping over his heaf it wasn't tattered but it was dirty but the the expensive and strong fabric's bright red still gleamed through the dirt that attempted to obscure it.
When he had first arrived he came in with a large axe, it had a cover over it's blade and he carried it with him before sitting at a table placing it by his side.
When a waitress came to ask him for what he was here for he muttered.
"One glass of rum..."
The waitress nodded politely and served the boy the alcohol. Upon drinking said rum he immediately got into a short coughing fit after drinking half of the rum in one go, this clearly wasn't an experienced drinker whatsoever.
Eventually a common peasant burst through the door and yelled.
"JACK THE GIANT KILLER IS COMING"
"Jack the Giant Killer?" Now that was and impressive title that the boy was somewhat familiar with.
Well... Somewhat wasn't the correct way to put it.
Jack Spriggins, an Eleven year old boy, known as Jack the Giant Killer.
At nine he happened to have bought magical seeds which lead to a giant bean stalk sprouting piercing the sky.
The boy already known for being incredibly physically strong climbed the stalk much to his mother's behest.
As the story goes Jack reached the Kingdom of the Giants, which rested upon the clouds. Safe to say jack stole from a Giant noble, who then chased jack down the bean stalk trying to climb down the stalk.
Unfortunately for the giant jack used his immense strength to cut down the stalk, causing the poor giant to fall over and hit the earth hard, but jack hadn't entirely won, when the giant fell over it happened to fall over Jack's mother's cottage, killing her immediately.
Now here's the tricky part.
There's a sort of "gap" within the story, but one way or another Jack for some reason partook of the Giant's flesh, and for some reason it had an adverse reaction to Jack's physiology making him incredibly strong.
The strength of a giant within the body of a preteen...
Now you may be asking, "Why on earth is he called the Giant Killer?"
That's because the giants in response to a noble's death "waged war" upon the human realm below.
Jack using the giant he slew's canine as a sword then went on a rampage, killing many giants that came down before the king of giants himself made a peace treaty with Jack.
But enough of the story.
And back to the boy in the Tavern.
As if the mere mention of jack sped up his arrival the man who announced jack's incoming arrival went flying to the right, revealing a small boy with a large sword slightly bigger than him.
And immediately he darted towards the boy in the red cloak.
"You're in my seat jackass!"
This wasn't going to end well.
