Chapter 7 - Buddies

As they carry on to their work, the classroom door swung open, and the delightful aroma of freshly baked Christmas cupcakes wafted in, mingling with the sharp, sweet scent of glue. Two teachers entered, balancing trays piled high with colorful treats, each topped with swirls of creamy frosting and festive sprinkles that sparkled like jewels.

"Surprise! We've got snacks for everyone!" one of the teachers announced, her eyes twinkling with joy as she set down the trays, the soft sound of frosting squishing against the plastic plates punctuating her excitement.

A wave of eager whispers swept through the room like a gentle breeze. "Look at all those cupcakes!" a student exclaimed, eyes widening in amazement, reflecting the vibrant colors of the treats.

"Let's finish our bags so we can have some!" Alec urged, urgency lacing his voice, anticipation bubbling in his chest like the frosting on the cupcakes.

"Yeah! We need to make them just right!" Araon agreed, his fingers dancing over the paper as he added final touches, the texture of glittery glue sticking to his skin.

As they worked, Araon noticed a couple of classmates struggling with their designs. "Need an extra hand?" he called out to a nearby pair of friends, who were trying to balance glue and glitter without making a mess.

"Please! Our stars keep falling off!" one replied, laughter bubbling up as the glue dripped from the table, creating a sticky puddle.

"Hold on! I'll show you a trick," Araon said, moving over to lend a hand while Alec paused to observe, eyes wide with curiosity.

"Wow, thanks, Araon! You're really talented at this!" Alec said, admiration shining in his gaze.

"Just like I'll be a master snowman-builder!" Araon joked, eliciting a bright, infectious giggle from Alec.

The classroom buzzed with excitement, punctuated by laughter and the gentle clinking of cupcake trays. As students finished their creations, they rushed to grab their treats, the festive atmosphere wrapping around them like a cozy scarf.

"Let's make our bags the best at the party!" Alec exclaimed, determination sparkling in his expressive eyes.

"I can't wait to see everyone's faces when they see what we made!" Araon chimed in, his heart brimming with joy, the spirit of the season enveloping them like a snug blanket.

As they worked side by side, the classroom pulsed with joy, a vibrant tapestry of creativity woven together by the laughter of children. The scent of glue mingled with the sweetness of cupcakes and the warmth of friendship, each moment a delightful reminder of the happiness this season brought.
