Chapter 37 - The History Of Mages

The story of Green is one known by everyone in the human settlement. It was told to children as a bedtime story, told to mages to boost their morale, and for many other purposes.

This story has been told for hundreds of years and still never gets outdated or runs out of fashion.

It is clearly a fantasy-based novel, or so they thought until now. They finally realized this story is real, and they were finally able to get the actual true story.

Due to the fact that there weren't many books about the story, not everyone got to read it. Most people of the Tier-8 city gained their knowledge from rumors, and of course, the information was incomplete and altered.

"Green had a child." Ghost continued. "A boy child, but unfortunately, he was killed."

"Many believed this child was assassinated and brutally murdered; they also attempted to assassinate Green's wife as well, but unfortunately, she wasn't as weak as they expected."

"She wasn't able to defeat any one of them though, but they weren't able to wear her down either."

"Ever since the period of the assassination, Green began to show less presence. Lesser and lesser appearances, and eventually he disappeared. To this day, no one knows where Green went or where he was residing, but it is believed he is still alive somewhere."

"Huh! It's been about one thousand, four hundred years since he disappeared, and people still believe he is still alive!!!" Chris banged his hand on the table in annoyance.

"Silence!"

"And I'll be giving one last brief intel before I leave to round up the class: the first generation of humans."

"This topic is related to Green's story and will provide you with more knowledge about how this mage existence came about."

"The human settlement was created about 1800 years ago; that was the same time humans started multiplying."

"At first, King White was the only human in existence, but then, for some strange reason that is hidden from us, he managed to multiply the humans, creating a hundred humans."

"Males and females were both 50 each, respectively."

"The fact that humans are a new species makes it clear that this planet was not actually for humans, but for beasts."

"Everywhere you go, you'll see dens of beasts and some other mystical creatures."

"Ever since King White was able to create humans and see the negative adaptive nature on beasts to humans as well, he knew for sure they wouldn't last if they all decided to live like they wanted and explore."

"He was more than aware that beasts devour humans, so at first, he built a wall alongside the humans he created. Then, he inspected them and observed them for a period of time, trying to know all about them he could possibly discover, and at last, he realized that we all have something special and unique inside of us he named 'cores' — magic cores where our magic generates from."

"During the time when he observed the humans, the defensive wall he built around didn't help much, and beasts attacked; but Green was there and protected them."

"Soon after, he realized that humans were able to reproduce, and then he gained more knowledge about his creation."

"When the first set of humans reproduced, he was taken aback by how small the creature they reproduced was and assumed it was a failed experiment. But later, he realized that unlike his creation that started growth from adulthood, the reproduced version started from childhood."

"As time went on, the children grew up into adults and started to reproduce more of their kinds, slowly multiplying."

"As time went on, they evolved in terms of magic and were able to use their magic to a great extent."

"From there on, life goes on, and then we trace things back to today where I am standing in the classroom teaching while a stupid black-green-haired young man is staring at a lady's butt with his head turned upside down!"

It was Zain, obviously.

All heads turned towards Zain, who was still drooling, staring at Erin and unaware of all the disappointed gazes of his classmates on him.

"Weak and stupid! The worst combo all in one kid. I am disappointed, Ghost commented, finally snapping Zain back to reality."

"Oops! My bad, I'm truly sorry, Zain apologized with a nervous smile."

But the loud silence the classroom was giving never ended.

'What else do they want me to say?' Zain pondered inwardly.

'It's not fully my fault in the first place; it's her fault for having such body structure that keeps distracting me.'

"So with that class I'll concluded this lesson so, any questions?"

"Yeah I have a question! Zain raised his hands."

Ghost eyes scanned the room before concluding.

"Good, no question, I'll see you In the next class. With that said she left the room just like she came in, leaving Zain with his hand hanging in the air."

"I can't believe such handsomeness was awarded to a brainless and weak guy." A lady commented.

-"Did you hear about his assessment, he haven't even been able to tap into his magic core."

-"yeah, I heard he acts like a fascinated puppy the moment he entered this worn out school for the first time, I hate guys who cannot maintain calm composure."

Multiple comment on Zain could be heard by the ladies in particular.

'Damn! I screwed up big time.'

The class for the day was over and all the students were free to do as they please.

Some went to the library to read, some went to the combat room for training while others were chatting.

'This school schedule is really free, the classes lasts at most 4 hours, all the classes I've attended so far haven't exceeded that and we got only one class per day.'

Zain wondered as he approach where he obviously prefer to be, the school library.

'I'll like to know quite a lot of things to be frank, this school is giving me a free access to things I could only dream of in the past.'

The huge double door of the library was wide open when Zain got there.

"Stat sticker, deactivate!"

Zain commanded and it obeyed. Although, Zain has been to this library before, he still couldn't go there without help, the school was a big one for sure.

The newest skill he learnt how to do with the stat sticker was map, that was how he got here. The stat sticker has many purpose and the map is just one of them.
