Chapter 75 - The Call to Adventure

The sun was shining brightly over the village of Eldoria, casting warm golden rays everywhere. Birds in the trees filled every breath with the fragrant scent of flowers that bloomed during spring. Yet to Sarah and her friends, the beauty of morning could not shine much since the darkness that threatened them the night before still loomed large.

As the villagers converged to this town square, excitement filled the atmosphere. All of the villagers were chattering incessantly about hearing the tale of the adventurous children. Sarah felt both proud and nervous about the experience that she was about to share.

Elara stepped forward, her voice level. "We have seen the face of darkness in the Silverwood. We may ward it off this time but it will be coming back. We need to join our strength so that we may protect Eldoria.

A murmur of concern ran through the crowd. An elder raised his hand, and the chatter stilled. "You're all very brave children, but we need to prepare for what awaits us. We cannot underestimate the darkness which lies beyond our borders."

When the older elder was done with her words, Sarah felt a renewed sense of determination. "We have allies from Silverwood and Misty Glade," she said. "Let's strengthen our defenses together and prepare to face these battles."

A certain villager came up to Sarah with a furrowed brow. "What do you want us to do?".

We need to create a council, Elara said. "We will assemble the leaders of the various factions—Elves, fairies, and villagers—to convene as one and discuss what we have learned on the subject of this darkness."

The elder nodded thoughtfully. "Very wise words indeed. Together, we can make for a more robust defense. I shall bring in the leaders of the other villages as well, to gather for council.".

As she started moving around to arrange the gathering, a ray of hope appeared in Sarah's eyes. They were not fighting alone; the community was coming together, and with each ally they could muster, they would be more powerful.
