It started like any ordinary day. Finn was walking home from school, tired from exams, thinking only about the weekend ahead. The air was still, heavy with the promise of rain. Then, out of nowhere, a strange shimmer appeared on the horizon, like the fabric of the world had been pulled back for a moment.
Curiosity overcame him. He walked toward the strange light, the trees bending as if drawn toward it too. As he stepped closer, the ground seemed to tilt, and suddenly, Finn found himself stumbling through the air, falling, as the world warped around him.
When he landed, it wasn't on the sidewalk near his house, but in a dense, unfamiliar forest. The sky was wrong, tinged with purples and oranges he had never seen before. The trees were tall and twisted, their branches gnarled like claws reaching toward him. He stood up, disoriented, and realized he was no longer in the world he knew.
